There was a three-floor climb with our suitcases, there was a 5-minute walk from the car park, and the street sounds were a bit noisy for us rural folks the first night. Everything else was well over the top and the hotel was a most pleasurable place to stay. We will stay there again!
The walking accessibility from here around the old city was perfect -- didn't need the car for three days! The proprietor was most helpful and enriched our stay. We chose the room on the top floor because we fell in love with it from the online info and were very happy with our choice.

Just the same great place as it was four years ago, except the weather is better! My family has stayed in the large room at the top of the hotel both times, and loved every bit, from the decor to the beds you just do not want to leave, not to mention the great hostess. This hotel has trancended ordinary hotels so become something so much more, a perfect home away from home and base of operations for exploring Quebec City.

Mariel, the owner, is so kind and makes you feel like you area at home. This place should be ranked numebr one. Well located, great service, and awesome price.

My friend and I spent 5 nights at Masion du Fort in August and cannot wait to return. It was everything we hoped for and more...a cozy retreat with personality and charm where our room included a comfortable sitting area. We loved our views of the old town, the knowledge that absolutely everything was in walking distance, convenient breakfast trays that we could enjoy in our room, and friendly advice from Marielle. Having experienced summer, perhaps we'll plan a winter trip...but it's not as though we need an excuse to return. Five nights was not enough!
