“very good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2009

my husband and I went to chateau repotel for a family event and I wanted something not too expensive. It's the right place for that.
But don't go there if you want to be close to the touristics attractions because you are maybe 15-20 min in car. I recommend that hotel for someone that is there for business or just visiting family or friends.

clean, service good and breakfast included in the price.

“Good Clean Hotel”

Stayed at this hotel as part of a Your Man Tours group. Our room was a bit small but was clean quite with a comfortable bed. The hotel does not have a restaurant but has a continental breakfast which consists of toast, muffins coffee and OJ. There is a seating small area for breakfast. If you would like more there is a Tim Horton's next door. Since the hotel does not have a restaurant, we had dinner at Le Biftheque. This is a good steak restaurant with menus in French and English. The following night we ate at The Royal 24 restaurant about a block away on boul Wilfrid-Hamel. Good restaurant but the wait staff spoke only French.

“Great place to stay, very close ammenities, minutes to downtown, easy to get to!”

I have had the pleasure to stay at this hotel 5 nights in the last two years. I chose it originally on price, and location - close to the airport for the 400th Anniversary Air Show we were attending, June 13-15, 2008. However, I was very surprised at the comfort and status of this hotel. With the price I was expecting a "Super 8" feel as to the good "Holiday Inn without the price" feel that we received. True, it's not the Delta - if you want your housecoat and mini-bar, this isn't for you. However, the many amenities VERY close by more than make up for that. There is a large Canadian Tire store (should you unfortunately have vehicle problems), a McDonald's, Tim Horton's, two gas stations with convenience stores (where, in Quebec, you can buy beer if you so desire), an SAQ (Quebec liquor outlet), shopping mall, sports bar, A&W, Mike's Restaurant, La Belle Province Restaurant - all with good food, and a great breakfast, if you should not wish to partake in the free continental breakfast that is provided by the hotel(Which is very good, as well). We just stayed again for two nights on the way to Nova Scotia, and one on the way back - again thoroughly enjoyable, and met our needs and expectations. This hotel is very easy to get to off all the major highways. The only little quibble I have is they don't have enough outdoor parking. If you get there late, you may end up in Mike's parking lot next door. For the price and convenience, I can live with that.

“The Only Hotel That Has Ever Mixed Up Our Reservation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2008

We planned to stay at this hotel in 2004 on our way to New Brunswick and had booked 2 months in advance. Upon arrival, they did not have our reservation for the date we had reserved but had booked us into the next month. They didn't have a room for us and we had to scramble to find another hotel after arriving in Quebec at 10pm after driving from Toronto. They were in denial of everything and took no responsibility. NOT IMPRESSED!

“Nice, convenient overnight stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2008

My fiancee and I only stayed here one night en route to the old town of Quebec, but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. Very reasonably priced and convenient (several restaurant/eating options in the area), the Chateau Repotel is a 15 minute drive from the heart of Quebec City. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the check in process was very smooth. Loads of parking onsite, so you should never have an issue here.

On the downside, however, the hotel's continental breakfast leaves alot to be desired, with only some very limited options. We ended up skipping it and exploring the food options across the road. A small blemish though, on what was generally a very positive experience overall.

The bottom line? The Chateau Repotel is a very reasonably price 3-star option that more or less gives you the value you are seeking for your money. Would more than likely stay here again if the need came up in the future.
