We booked the Chateau Repotel Duplessis because we have seen it on a previous trip to Quebec city. We knew that the location is great, near some major roads and the price is great for the area. We booked 4 days in advance for the Friday night and I guess we had one of the last rooms.
Again, it is easy to get there. Wether you come in by Hwy 40 or through Hwy 73. The Old Quebec area is about 20 minutes by car, forever by bus. Parking is a breeze on the property. There are even many spots in the under ground parking below the hotel that would protect your vehicle from the elements, even if not heated. The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. In no time the registration was processed. Elevators are available if you are assigned a room other than on the main floor. There are 2 Chateau Repotel in Quebec. The room was large, modern, *very* clean and the bathroom very functional and impeccable. I needed the WIFI to do some work and this hotel boasts a high speed system which truly is! Sound insulation is great and even though our room was the closest to street, it ketp quiet.
The breakfast buffet is quite complete with breakfast cereals, breads, muffins, and fruits. Coffee is available 24 hours and is prepared with one of those 1 cup at a time machines which insures a fresh cup a coffee anytime. The eating area is not that large and can fill up when the hotel is complete as it was for us. Nonetheless, there are cabarets on which you can transport your selections to your room if needed.
There are quite a few restaurants nearby so eating out is a breeze even if you are not eating in Quebec city proper. I have been multiple times in this area. This was my first stay at the Chateau Repotel Duplessis and I will be back.
