When you enter Quebec City through the bridge going across the St-Lawrence River you have, amongst many others, a very ordinary hotel that looks a bit like a motel but, if it is value for your money that you are after, don't hesitate. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a modern style, with leather armchair, desk with wi-fi access, large bed with very nice and luxurious bed-sheets and pillow-cases and the bathroom is equipped with a most agreeable rain-shower. There is a large parking area free of charge and a restaurant where you eat wonderfully. Not at all the kind of off-the-road restaurant that we encounter too often in America. The food served there is top quality and beautifully presented with imagination, flair and gusto. Since the hotel is on the outskirts of the city, one needs a car to get to the autiful Old Quebec but it is well worth it. Having tried many other hotels in the area before, I would not hesitate one bit before recommending it.
