I was very disappointed to stay here on my anniversary and was given the room with courtyard view and it looked out on the alley way. On top of that the bathroom was tiny and the hotel room was cramped and dirty. The tv was tiny!

Don't stay here unless you want to b e disappointed.

Wish I had read the other reviews before booking this hotel for $160 per night. Room was a bad university dorm room and should be charging $80 per night. I guess other travellers find noisy dorm rooms charming. Location was the only positive about the hotel. Stayed one night and moved to Hotel Pur with much better room/bed at a much lower price. Owner needs to learn some business etiquette - very unpleasant when we complained about the noise and the condition of the room.

We booked a second floor room which was perfectly comfortable, quiet, and had a great view overlooking a quiet, charming street. I understand the attic rooms pour on the charm even further. Old Québec at your Door is their motto, and they're certainly right about that. Excellent experience overall.

Asked for quiet room and was given a first floor room with so much noise from people walking down the hallway and much worse noise from the bathrooms on the 2nd floor. Every time someone used the shower - the noise was unbelievably loud all night long. I have no problem with someone using a bathroom but should not be woken up by it. They have not spent any money on a mattress - they belonged in a dorm room. We were not expecting luxury but they were cheap mattresses. When we spoke the next morning to the young attendant who had given us the room, he just shrugged his shoulders, stated that some rooms have more noise than others and walked away. The manager was incredibly rude and offered no apologies. The hotel owner is aware that there is noise in this room - it was ridiculous and I am not a light sleeper. Do not waste $150 on this place.
