We stayed at hotel Pur on October 2011 for 2 nights and loved it. We stayed on the 14th floor in a standard room. I started the day with swimming almost a km in their lovely pool, then went to the bakery down the road to buy fresh pastries , made lattes with the coffee maker in the lobby, and started the day. The staff were wonderful and the hotel is situated very conveniently if you have a car and close anough to walk to the old city or take the bus.
The walk to the old city is a steep one, but if you are ready to do it, it's fine and there's a free elevator at the end of the road that goes part of the way up.
I understand that the hotel changed hands since our stay, so I hope they haven't deteriorated. We enjoyed the Avenda products, the room, the staff, the pool, the location

The Boutique hotel look seen on the internet didn't transfer in my room!!! The furniture is very cheesy and the overall feeling of my room was sad. A bizarre mix of old and new... I heard not all the rooms are the same - maybe you will be lucky! The view is great on the top floors! And the location if you are attending an event around Expo-cité/Centre des foires is good. Still far for the old Quebec city attractions and entertainment. Amazing restaurant though!

The hotel became part of the Wyndham network during my stay and that led to many problems (Dec. 1st). Too little staff, long waits... But the neighbourhood is very much developping. Interesting restaurants, out of Quebec's too touristic spots. Hopefully, it will get better!

First impression of the hotel is 'WOW' very modern and futuristic, however we were requested to deposit $200 on arrival which we had not been informed about so was quite embarrassing. After we left, they took money from my account 'accidentally' and 'forgot' to reimburse it! We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, the food was good, however the drinks very overpriced. The staff were friendly and polite. As regards to rooms it is complete monopoly as to whether you will have an amazing room, or a terrible room! Our friends had very futuristic rooms, with panoramic views across the city, however we had a frumpy and aged room which was pretty unfair considering we had all paid the same price! Although my experience of Hotel Pur was not the best, I would stay again. Parking is also $20 a night, which we had not been told before arrival.
