My family of 4 stayed at Manoir Victoria for 8 nights during the Winter Carnival. We got a great deal on Splendia. Our room was very spacious and was within walking distance of everything! Two drawbacks: The first is that if you can't walk up/down stairs, you are out of luck. There are at least 20 stairs from the front door to the lobby level and they aren't allowed to install an elevator because of they are an historic building. The second is their restaurant only has about 10 items on the dinner menu and they only offer spaghetti for children. Every room has a mini bar with space in the fridge for personal items. The best part is the LOCATION. We did not have a car and walked everywhere. There are TONS of great restaurants all around and directly on either side of the hotel are a pharmacy and a grocery store. McDonald's is right on the corner for the times when our kids were tired of fine dining. Ice skating is only a couple of blocks away and the carnival is only a 15-20 minute walk. They were renovating the lobby while we were there so it should be finished by now. They arrange bus transportation & tickets to the ice hotel, skiing, etc. The bus to ski is $30 pp. If you have more than 2 people, you may want to rent a car for the day from Hertz (2 doors down). They also sell the carnival effigies. They have a nice indoor pool and spa as well. We would definitely stay there again.
