“Don't judge a book by its cover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

The cover is really nice. The lobby, chic and modern, the cool, tiled elevator plays funky lounge music and the common spaces are uber urban. Sounds promising so far right? Then you open the room and say, ok, not so bad until you notice that the carpet in the room is more worn than the carpet in the hallway so you decide to keep your shoes on as you walk to the bathroom to wash your hands.
You push the lonely minuscule bottle of body lotion to get to the little soap and notice that the melamine covered counter has funny stains on it and sort of bunches in the corner. Funny, but it's ok you think as you use the toilet. As you sit you notice the mildew stains along the tub where there should be white caulking and debate whether you really want to take shower in this tub.
But you are concerned with the amount of work you have to do so you set yourself up in the corner desk and turn the tv from 1998 on for some background noise as you try to fit all your documents and laptop on this small corner desk. A couple of hours go by and you start to feel hungry. You take a break to look out the large window in the room and notice a plethora of restaurants within just a few metres of the hotel. Great, no need to take the car!
So you decide on ribs but eat too much and go back to the room. Well, with such a full belly, you decide no more work will be done as you fall back on a very comfortable queen bed and lay your weary head on those terrible feather pillows that serve absolutely no purpose because they become flat as a pancake when you lie on them. After watching The Big Bang Theory, you decide you will just wash at the sink because you don't trust the cleanliness of the tub and try to get a good night's sleep on the comfortable bed and lousy pillows.
You set the alarm early, and just before you put your feet to the floor, you look for your shoes to walk to the bathroom so your bare feet do not touch the floor. You get ready, pack your things and head for check-out. Good thing you gave yourself some time because check-out takes 15 minutes because there is only 1 man at the post and you are 3rd in line. But that's ok, you think, even though the hotel is ideally located near malls, restos, major highways, you will not be back to this hotel. The End.

“Nice and zen!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Very nice hotel, I loved the vibe! Very comfortable beds, never slept this well! Friendly staff, very clean hotel, not very well located (nothing to see) but easy access to the highway and free parking. I'd definitely go back!

Room Tip: I put average for the fitness center, but did not see it.

It is with great interest that we follow and treat all of your reviews.
Our establishment is divided in two different sections: one hosting our superior rooms and the other our economic ones. Following few of the reviews bellow, we are glad to inform you that the washrooms in all of our economic rooms are in the process of a big transformation. They will be equipped with a large glass shower and the new design will erase the older one from your mind! We are inviting you to let us know your appreciation of these renovations.

“Good value, not in the old party of the city”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

This was a great find for my boyfriend and I as it was very close to the University of Laval, which is where we wanted to be. It is also about $22 (including tip) away from the airport, which isn't bad. The hotel itself is along Boulevard Laurier, an up and coming section of Quebec City as far as I could tell: within a few minutes you can walk to a variety of restaurants, clubs, a huge shopping mall, and the bus into the old city runs from about a block away (5 minute walk or less). If you are looking for the charm of the old city and want to be within walking distance of the touristy sights and sounds of Quebec City, this is not the place for you. If you don't mind being a bit farther out, paying a great price for a decent hotel and seeing more of the city than you would have otherwise (not a bad thing!) then this is the place. The room was average, everything you would want in a standard hotel room. I had some trouble with the wifi at first, but got it up and running eventually. I didn't check out the restaurant or pool on site. The front desk staff spoke English and were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

“Simply just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

This room was booked during a trip where the 3 kids, my wife and I needed to stop for the night. Quebec City was an excellent point along the way. With a family our size, we are quite used to booking a large suite, but this one ....was not for a family. Great focus is paid on little things to be trendy; however, it would have been nice if the photos of the room and description would have tipped us off that it wouldn't be a good family room. Most hotels have this when you put down the number and ages of travelers.

So now we pay for the biggest room they have and still have to have a 7 year old in bed with us and 2 on the couch. The air conditioner took some playing with to get results......and not just the dials. Numerous travelers have noted this issue prior.

To be fair, if it was my wife and I only, it would have been satisfactory........just not much more than that.

Room Tip: I wouldn't do more than a night stay over here and for that......Get the cheapest one. You wont...
