We booked the "Romantically in Love" package at this hotel, which included a horse-drawn carriage ride through Old Town and a 3 course dinner at Cafe de la Paix. Excellent value for our money. The staff, both the night and the day shift were excellent (English is a little spotty, but my wife speaks French. I'm sure they would have been willing to try their hand at English). They booked our carriage ride and dinner for the times we requested.
Our room was very clean and spacious. We booked a room with a king sized bed (memory foam mattress . . . oh so soft). The bathroom wasn't small, like I read in another review on here, but maybe that person had a different room, who knows?
The breakfast was a typical French affair-- croissants, rolls, yogurt, coffee, etc. Very tasty, spoiled only by our recent trip to Paris.
Our carriage ride was a bit cold (blanket!), but our driver Vincent was charming and spoke English well.
Dinner at the Cafe de la Paix was top-notch. We had snail for the first time. When you order, if you booked this package, make sure you tell them you're with the Cap Diamant so you get the proper menu. The only thing not included is alcohol and the tip. The waiter will even put your jacket on, if you're a lady.
Parking was in an outdoor lot about 3 minutes walk away, but it's a nice walk because it's in Old Town and that's what you're here to see.
A word of caution-- if you're trying to visit a sugar shack off season, make sure you call first. We drove all the way to one that claimed to be "year round" only to find it was quite exasperatingly closed.
