I truly enjoyed my visit with them. They were very welcoming, polite, and helpful. I am sure to return someday.

We took a weekend trip to Quebec to see the sights and do some shopping. Chose this hotel because it was located near the main shopping district in Ste-Foy (the best in the city) and near the highway. The hotel staff was exceptionally welcoming, the room was great (spacious, clean and modern; good mattress, great bathroom, large TV). Fast internet service and nice breakfast in the morning--both were included in the room price. All in all, a great value for the dollar.

From when we arrived we were greated and treated with great respect. We do not speak French; however, the staff had good English. I would stay there anytime I would travel to Quebec City.

A long drive and I wanted to show my wife my 'Old Home Town' from many years ago.
I also figured, lets throw caution to the wind and splurge just a little and stay at 'The Holiday Inn Express' in St. Foy. While walking into the reception area I was silently practicing my un-used French vocabulary, I was just a little nervous. After greeting the clerk in my best French and telling him what I would like, he smiled and said "we hope
you had a good trip today Sir is there anything special you would like?"
I responded with "I wasn't expecting English here in Quebec" again I was told "but of course a great many of out Visitors are English and we want everyone to feel at home. I then became a little more relaxed and I must say relieved.
Our room was immaculate with lovely hardwood flooring, sparkling clean with the latest fixtures throughout. After a Good nights sleep, I opened the door to go downstairs for the complimentary breakfast ... yet another plesant surprise ... there was a Free English newspaper at our door. I checked other papers down the hall, both English and French depending on the rooms occupants, Nice Touch!!.

The Breakfast was not your typical continental hotel breakfast. There was a wonderful selection of both hot and cold items, something for everyone and yes I probably gained just a little weight while enjoying the hospitality.

My hometown visit was wonderful and it all began with The Holiday Inn Express and just the most welcoming staff.
