This hotel was in a great location and had very affordable rates($109/night)in the summer which is main tourist time. Service was ok , they gave us free internet which is apparently $9.99 a day otherwise.

Not to say that the stay wasnt enjoyable but you do get what you pay for!! couple of things to keep in mind:

-Small rooms
-Very basic (small tv, no coffee maker, no alarm clock etc.)
-I dont recommend and I never will again use the parking behind the hotel.

On the up side:

-Continenal breatfast
-Friendly staff
-Clean room and bed
- Nice historic Building
- Hotel has only 30 rooms so nice intimate feeling
-Great Location in downtown and close to metro

The parking lot behind the building works with the hotel. So you park, go check-in and pay $12 a day (which isnt outrageous for this area of downtown) and they will give you a pass to put on your car. However we were told that when we check out on Sunday we could leave the car in the lot until we were ready to leave the city.

Unfortunately this did not work to design. Everytime I went to my car to get something even on saturday during the day (we were leavin on sunday) the attendant hounded us that we must leave at 12 on Sunday. Even though we knew we could keep the car there until desired to leave. This again happened to us on Sunday at check out time(12 noon)
the attenant abruptly told us that we must "leave now". This made us have to return to the hotel to straighten this up and and allow us to leave our car in the lot free of charge until WE wanted to leave.

I would recommend parking in a different lot ( there are many close to the hotel for the same or cheaper price) and avoid this unpleasant experience!!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we received rude service. The guy at the front desk was rude and made errors with our reservations. To make things worse, I was bitten by bedbugs for 2 nights and finally after realizing that they were bedbugs and not mosquito bites, we complained to the front desk and the same rude guy told us that no one else has complained about bedbugs and I showed him my arm and said "what do you think this is? Do you think we are making it up? Does my arm look ok to you??? He wouldn't give us a refund and at first told us they had no more rooms available. After arguing with him for 15 minutes, he finally said he had rooms available and tried to give us a small room, with a smaller bed. We spend an HOUR trying to get another room. Now, I don't know if the bedbugs have travelled with me back to my home, but I would NOT recommend anyone go to this hotel!!!

I liked the place. Clean, small but romantic. We had a jacuzzi tub in the room. Across the street from a bixi location. Easy access to the city. Annoyed that the hotel parking I paid for was not disclosed as unprotected. We were broken into and had things stolen. The hotel wanted in no way to accommodate us aside from letting us have a later check-out. Rather frustrating to pay 12 a night for parking and have them then tell us they have no claim to damage. Frustrated by their lack of sympathy in the situation.

Rooms small but rate affordable ($75) a night but lost a good night sleep because of a wedding downstairs that was going full blast with thumping beat that shook our bed at 12:30 AM. After we complained at the front desk they said another 20 - 30 minutes and they would talk to the manager. The noise continued from the restaurant and did not quite down until 1: 15 AM. When I complained at the front desk the next day, no apologies. "It's over now, what's your problem!!"

This is on top of a leaky AC (that was so high up I couldn't reach controls), no TV remote, a lamp not plugged in ( we had to move the mattress to reconnect) and toilet paper holder that kept falling off the wall. It was not worth the $75 a night for this mess.
