Wanting to get away and celebrate our 27th anniversary and not break the bank, we stayed 3 nights at Bob and Mariko's B&B.. absolutely fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble, great breakfast,great location,free parking, other reviews say it all. Heartily recommend to all.
Definitely stay there again.

In DEC 2011 me and my friend made a trip to Montreal, Canada in order to visit our friends, Czech ice-hockey players of Habs - Plekanec and Kaberle.
As I do not like anonymous and impersonal places like big hotels, we decided to find a B&B in down-town Montreal. In the official Montreal guide, we came across Bed & Breakfast Downtown Montreal located at Avenue Laval.
I can highly recommend this place to all of you. The owners, Bob and Mariko, are very nice people always ready to help you and give you an advice. The place has a convenient location, you can reach all interesting places by walk, the Metro station is just few mins walk. Rooms, dining room and sanitary facilities are clean, breakfast is generous.
You do not simply need more than what is offered to you in Bed & Breakfast Downtown to explore Montreal !!! Bob and Mariko, thank you very much once again for your hospitality.

My husband and I were visting our daughter at McGill for the weekend with a couple friends of ours. We stay almost exclusively in bed and breakfast establishments whenever we visit. This was, by far, our best experience yet. The rooms were spacious and the communal bathroom was not an issue at all. Our hosts were very accomodating and reccommended some wonderful sites to visit in the area that we wouldn't have normally thought to go to! Our room was large, quiet, and comfortable. Our friends was the same. We had only one other person staying at the bed and breakfast during our trip, who was very enjoyable company.

For the third year in a row, I had the opportunity to stay at the Bed & Breakfast Downtown Montreal. Bob and Mariko always welcomes everyone with open arms and kindness. If it is your first trip to Montreal this is the place to stay. Both Bob and Mariko are a wealth of knowledge regarding this beautiful City! The location is perfect near shops, restaurants and the subway system. Breakfast is wonderful with cereal, yogurt with fruit, juice, coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs and bagels! A hearty breakfast to start you day right. Since my last visit last Spring, they have added two new sink areas for your convenience if a bathroom facility is occupied. The warmth of the rooms are each unique and the beds are very comfortable. I always get a great nights sleep! A true gem of a B&B.
