“Wonderful Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 March 2007

We went in the dead of winter and still had a wonderful time! The Hostess was very kind and helpful with helping us plan our trip and was always willing to suggest where to go or eat. the atmosphere was very relaxing and not your typical B & B style. Everything was very clean and well presented including the breakfasts. We would definitely stay here again!

“Very Minimalist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2006

Comfy, minimalist B & B, great friendly host with good, light breakfasts. Decor was awesome, very minimalist though, may not be for everyone. It rained all weekend in Montreal, so a TV would have been nice to have. Also, only one bathroom for 3 rooms, so it can get a little busy at times, although you can use Louise's bathroom downstairs in the mornings. This area of Montreal can't be beat! I'd definitely consider coming back in better weather. Good value for money.

“Location and smiles!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2006

We stayed in this B&B for two nights and were treated very well. The host spoke both French and English. Rooms were comfortable, minimalist and contemporary in style. Extremely easy on the eyes. Spotless bathroom and shower/bath. Easy parking on the street. A light but tasty breakfast and good coffee greeted us every morning. If you like your B&B relaxed, unpretentious but also clean and welcoming, this is a sure bet.

“Great all around!”

This place is just great! The hosts were friendly and knowledgable... Were able to offer recommendations, etc. Breakfast was delicious. We looked forward to it, and having breakfasts and sharing stories with other guests was fun as well.

The bathroom was kept very clean, and was very new.

There was no TV in the room, but this was a nice change from the usual as it forced us to not sit around ever.

“what a find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2005

We are so glad that we stayed at `Le Plumard'! While the traditional B&B's are not really our style (too much Laura Ashley going on), this new B&B (opened in 2003) promised to be the perfect match for our requirements from the get go. There are 3 very modern, maybe even minimalistic, bedrooms, all in immaculate shape and super clean. Another reviewer was commenting on the great quality of the towels and bedding and I would have to agree - everything felt as though we were the first people to use the towels and bedding. Breakfast was amazing and our host was extremely helpful and friendly. The location, just off the very popular Mont Royal Avenue in the Plateau distric, was very relaxed, absolutely no problem finding parking on the street and there is an abundance of non-touristy restaurants and bars, as well as stores within walking distance. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone coming to Montreal and we will certainly stay there again!
