Some reviewers said it already: it's best to avoid it. I had a job interview in Montreal and stayed there only for one night. I wasn't looking for a luxury hotel but just a basic place to spend the night. The room is just small enough to fit a twin-size bed and a drawer. It's good that I was only travelling with a backpack because there isn't enough space even for a small luggage. There were just three hangers: for my pants, coat and sweater. Other clothing items I had to squeeze in my bag since the drawer was small and dirty. Bed sheets and pillow case had blood stains on them, not to mention bed bugs. The cover was so thin that I had to cover up with my coat. It's freezing in early March in Montreal.
The bathroom was OK. Surprisingly, it was just slightly smaller than the room. The walls were thin and you could hear the noises next door and in the hallway. The door lock was in need of repair and I just barely managed to close it. There is no elevator and the staircase is steep with tiny steps. Breakfast was served from 8 am. Not good for me since I had to be at my interview at 8:30.
One reviewer wrote that for some reason they ask to photocopy one of your ID's and that it is illegal. I was asked that too, and that was the only time I ever saw it in done in a hotel. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location: walking distange to Vieux-Montreal and Champ-de-Mars subway stop on the orange line.
