My husband and I had a great time at this little B&B on a weeklong trip to Montreal. The rooms are set in a multistory house tucked behind the Village, Montreal's famous gay neighborhood, which has great little restaurants and bistros. It's only about two blocks from a Metro stop, which was really convenient for us, but it's set off the street in a way that blocks most of the noise from the promenade of St. Catherine.
If you stay here, you'll get a great breakfast. Seriously. Every day, we had some kind of hot, individually prepared dish. (I don't eat pork, and Andre was very accommodating in making sure not to mix in any ham with my eggs!) And the fruit! It was glorious.
The common room is quite pleasant, and we really enjoyed sitting out on the deck to read and relax. One added bonus: We got to meet Enzo, the house dog, which was great because we were missing our dog. He was so cute and well-behaved. Wish we could have taken him home.
My only two regrets are that we didn't venture up to the upper deck and that we didn't try to sneak a peek of the other rooms when we knew that the place wasn't full during the middle of the week.
