This is a wonderful hotel in a really hip neighborhood. I stayed here with my husband and my 11 year old son. We had a suite with two beds, two bathrooms and two kitchens. The room also had two balconies. Each morning, croissants were delivered to our room. Orange Juice, bottled water, and coffee come free with the room. The staff were incredibly helpful. I only give four stars because there is a jazz club downstairs that plays late into the night. I thought it was cool and it didn't bother me at all, but it might not appeal to everyone.

We stayed in one of the "economical" rooms, it had a complete mini-kitchen with everything needed to make your own meals. The fold-away bed that converted to a dining table was pretty nifty. Small room but it all worked really well. A couple of croissants and some juice were the included breakfast.
The only tough part is parking a car - parking is impossible to begin with in Montreal, and around St Denis it was even harder than usual. The hotel points you to a parking lot about 4 blocks away, $8. This place would be great if you left the car at the airport, or anywhere else. Easily accessible by public transport. Central location for meals, bars, shopping etc. The room was quiet with the windows closed, but if you want fresh air then expect noise from busy St Denis st.

Positives:
Location -- right in the heart of Montreal, close to everything
Spacious, clean and comfortable

Negatives:

Location -- on a busy street, very noisy, above a jazz club.
Room temperature -- Central air conditioning, so no individual control of room temperature. When I complained the room was too warm, I was flippantly told that Americans always say it's too warm and Europeans say it's too cold, so no one is ever happy
Room service -- our room was not cleaned until after 4 in the afternoon. After spending a the morning and first half of the afternoon walking around the city, my husband and I wanted to take some time to rest before dinner. We were interrupted when they finally came to clean the room.

Overall, it was a good place to stay and I would recommend it.

we have stayed at anne ma soeur anne before and would stay there again on our next trip to montreal. it's not a luxury hotel with many amenities but it is good value (especially with CAA/AAA discount) and clean. the best part about staying here is the unique location - right on st. denis in plateau mont royal - with many restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance. it's a beautiful neighbourhood. P.S. we didn't even know the jazz bar downstairs existed and didn't hear any noise during any of our stays
