We often travel to Montreal and the Hotel Gault is by far our favorite place to stay in the city.

In fact, it feels like home away from home, mainly because the staff just gets it right from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. On top of that, the hotel atmosphere and the rooms are great; cozy, clean, quiet, not overstuffed, everything you need is there.

There are many nice hotels out there but it's the little things that make a place literarily "out-standing": A coffee or tea is offered when you arrive (nice after a long or maybe stressful trip), the friendly, helpful staff greets you as soon as you come into the lobby (ever being ignored by front desk staff when you wanted to check in?), nobody rushes you through breakfast, even after 3 hours reading the paper on a Sunday morning, and you generally just feel well taken care of.
(Oh yes, and you can actually open the windows in your room, not just turn a noise air conditioner on or off - Thanks for that.)

I wish more reasonably priced hotels would be like the Gault.

The entrance and the welcome is good. There was a problem setting up my iPad which was dealt with strait away by the helpful staff. The room was clean, modern and airy. Plenty of space and a really comfortable bed.

This is a chic, up-to-date hotel that's just about the right size to be perfect. Service was excellent and the room comfortable and clean. I'm recommending it to friends who visit Montreal!

We loved this hotel for it's stunning decor, which I'll call "soft modern", meaning clean+ hip+ warm without looking like it's trying too hard (or like an office - I'm looking at you, business hotels.) Even more, we loved the people - the staff is wonderful, welcoming and made us feel valued even though we were just there for one night. I'm eager to return to this great boutique hotel. We had a terrific experience at Hotel Gault!
