Stayed here September 2011, was in Montreal with a friend for 3 days of shopping and partying. This hotel was an average priced hotel, I knew what to expect as I read reviews before booking.. It is out dated and a bit dirty looking. Would have been happier if I paid a bit less though.
The kitchenette was nice, with a separate room for the bed, but the couch looked like it was from the 90's and had lots of random stains. There was only 2 of each utensil in the cupboard, and no dish soap - so if you plan on using the dishes, bring soap.
The breakfast buffet was small and not too much there unless you like cereal, toast, yogurt and fruit - which was fine for us.
The location is good - depending on where you are going. It is a close walk to Old Montreal and right next to China Town. To get to the shopping though, is about 15-20 minute walk, and same with most of the bars. Plus, the airport bus stops almost right in front of the hotel.
I would say if you don't care much about what the hotel looks like and just want somewhere cheap and fairly close to everything, this is a decent choice.
