On Square St Louis in a lively (but not noisy) section of Montreal this bed & breakfast provides a warm base from which to explore the city. Olivia even finds on street parking for you! The breakfasts were 2 course affairs with home baked tarts, muffins and lots of fruit.

the location is very good, breakfasts were GREAT, Olivia would serve according to your tastes, and she always trying to make you comfortable and happy and gives the best advice about moving arround town, Olivia is really, really kind, and the house is very charming, Olivia even parked her own car to reserve place for ours in the street. the only downside is the rooms are not air conditioned, so you would have to sleep with the windows open in summer (that is nice) but the street would get a little noisy on weekend nights.

Our group of 10-12 have been staying here every June for the last 7 years and it is always a wonderful experience. Olivia is charming and has become our friend. Her breakfasts are delicious and she pays attention to every detail. The neighborhood is one of the best, 2 blocks from the Metro and surrounded by many fine restaurants and a park across the street. One could not ask for a better place to stay.

Aux Portes de la Nuit lived up to its reputation for charm, wonderful welcome, excellent breakfast and attentive caring hostess. We especially enjoyed the neighborhood with the lively St Louis Park, the neighboring Prince Arthur pedestrian walk and the convenience of a nearby Metro and Bixi bicycle stand. From our private balcony, Montreal was at our feet as we heard the citizens celebrate Jean Baptiste Day, a French Canadian holiday. Hope to return again soon.
