“Great Location, Fantastic Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

The good...
Location... 3 blocks from Centre Bell, 4 from Rue St. Catherine both accessible via the underground (important in February).

Pool ... not huge.. but heated and open in the middle of winter with great views of the Montreal skyline.

Executive Lounge (Bonaventure Club).. this is probably the BEST executive lounge I've been to in years. Most Hiltons offer a Continental breakfast and a afternoon reception. This executive room is open all day (until 11 pm) for beverages and coffee, Breakfast is a full menu with eggs, meats, fruits, cereals, and very good pastries. The reception features gourmet appetizers (not chicken fingers), examples: Salmon mousse in a mini cone, Kobe beef in a shot glass, a goat cheese / tomato 'sushi' and more. Honor bar (full) and a nice wine selection. Soft Drinks and water available all day. Sweets included pastries, cookies, and fondue. Oh, and the staff is attentive, and knows the city as well as the concierge.

Room - Nice rooms, typical Hilton rooms, nothing spectacular but very comfortable.

The Bad...

Parking - $19.75 / day self park.. yeah, I know it's a Downtown Hotel, but that's still steep. The parking garage is two elevator rides down, but it's heated and secure.

All in all, a great stay in a nice hotel that I will be sure to use the next trip to Montreal.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are nice, but I can see it getting loud when there's not 2 foot of snow in the g...

“Great Location in Downtown Montreal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This is a nice hotel in downtown Montreal with quick access to the underground shopping malls and Metro, Wierd layout with the hotel designed on only two floors, but situated on top of a 10-15 story office building. So, when you go in, you elevator up to the lobby.
It is a nice hotel, rooms are well appointed, but it is a bit pricy. My stay found me over $200 per night and you are paying for being in dowtown Montreal. The hotel has restaurent, bar, fitness, business center, and pool.
Overall, a nice place, good location, just a little weird

The Hilton Montreal Bonnaventure is in a great location, with direct underground access to the Metro. I felt safe at all times. The staff at the Consierge desk are always very haelpful, and take the time to give detail directions with a map.

“Love this place - but...3 hours to check in?!?!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This hotel is a very special place. The pool and the water treatments around the hotel make you feel a million miles away from downtown Montreal and yet you are in the middle of all the action. The hotel is a bit funny with stairs all over and a second floor check in but I think they added sections over the years. The room was clean and the bed was very good. The food was average at best which was disappionting giving the fact it was a hilton I was exspecting much better. The only but was at the check in I was delayed for three hours bacuse the hotel allowed the people from the night before to have a late check out... Oh sure I was given several free drinks and food but after traveling the day I wanted to get my comfy pants on and decompress not sit in a singles bar and drink free drinks... Still I would stay here anytime and highly recommend
