The good...
Location... 3 blocks from Centre Bell, 4 from Rue St. Catherine both accessible via the underground (important in February).
Pool ... not huge.. but heated and open in the middle of winter with great views of the Montreal skyline.
Executive Lounge (Bonaventure Club).. this is probably the BEST executive lounge I've been to in years. Most Hiltons offer a Continental breakfast and a afternoon reception. This executive room is open all day (until 11 pm) for beverages and coffee, Breakfast is a full menu with eggs, meats, fruits, cereals, and very good pastries. The reception features gourmet appetizers (not chicken fingers), examples: Salmon mousse in a mini cone, Kobe beef in a shot glass, a goat cheese / tomato 'sushi' and more. Honor bar (full) and a nice wine selection. Soft Drinks and water available all day. Sweets included pastries, cookies, and fondue. Oh, and the staff is attentive, and knows the city as well as the concierge.
Room - Nice rooms, typical Hilton rooms, nothing spectacular but very comfortable.
The Bad...
Parking - $19.75 / day self park.. yeah, I know it's a Downtown Hotel, but that's still steep. The parking garage is two elevator rides down, but it's heated and secure.
All in all, a great stay in a nice hotel that I will be sure to use the next trip to Montreal.
