Terrible, run down old house that should be condemned. Long red bugs all over the room, unfinished and mouldy walls, electrical problems where you can't plug in two things at once, a TV and phone from 1972, no possibility of internet, three floor of old stairs, fire escape door open all the time....We really felt unsafe and were forced to leave and find somewhere else to stay. When we talked to the owner, he said he would move us to a different room (since they were empty - I wonder why?!). But there was nothing in this place that was fit to move to so we got a $100 lesson! Just remember - when the price is too good to be true, it usually is. I would not suggest anyone stay here.

We did arrive in Montreal without a place and then looked through a search engine for a relative cheaper place (EUR 80), still centrally located. the hotel comes accross rather old and a bit run down. its located at a main street, but our room was on the side and we looked toward parking. the room was very small and we had a king size to share (1,40m) for 2 people. here was not much room to move around. air condition was with cables hanging down and a warning to not use airco and hair dryer at the same time. breakfast was simple and in the basement.
there was an extra fee for parking at a neighboured parking place.

The guy that checked us in was awesome!!!!! Aside from that, it's a great place for what it is. It's across the street from the bell center and a 5 minutes from down town. It's a great place to crash, and it's really cheap, which is perfect for a few broke college students.

If you're at a conference in one of the big hotels (Sheraton etc), or looking for budget hotel then this is a great alternative that is very cheap in comparison and ticks all the boxes. Good location. You'll want to eat and drink out anyway as there are some great local places (rather than the expensive, characterless large international chains).
I joined my partner who was out at a conference but booked into here as the cheaper alternative - we went onto B&B for the leisure part of our stay (which is better alternative again). Check out Bob & Mariko's for B&Bs
