I've stayed here more times than I have wanted, and since I travel quite extensively, I feel qualified to tell you to stay away and look elsewhere. The rooms are stale and out of date. The hotel contracts many weddings, and the place a total bore. And, as the title suggests, the restaurant is also subpar. However, with that said, the service has usually been good, and accommodating—but cheeky, if not rude, once and a while. If you must stay here, ask to stay as far away from the conference facilities, and not above it.

I traveled with two female friends and it was wonderful. It was exceptionally clean. The staff is very friendly and each one I met was bilingual. You are guaranteed to find someone that speaks at least two of these: French, Spanish or English.
The restaurant is great. They serve you quickly and the food is wonderful.
It's a bit far from Old Montreal, but the bus takes you straight to the metro. Pick up a map and you'll be on your way.
The ONLY downside, the night bus does not take you infront of the hotel. We learned that if you speak very kindly to the bus drivers (in broken French or English), they will gladly explain to you which transfer to take to make it back to the hotel or they'll take you to the nearest overpass.
I do not recommend taking a taxi sitting outside the airport!!! Call the hotel and ask them to send one over for you. They have a list of extremely nice taxi drivers! It will cost about $15-$17 CAD. Bon voyage!

This hotel itself is really nice, but there always seems to be a shuttle problem. When we left for our trip, we needed to get to the airport at about 4-4:30 a.m. - their shuttle only starts at 5:00 a.m., so we had to take a taxi. When we came back, we called for the shuttle and they said it wasn't running, so we should take a taxi and they would pay it. Sounds fine, except the taxi drivers don't like taking short trips, as they don't haul in as much $$. We've run into this problem before. We book the hotel because they keep our car for up to 2 weeks, and we expect a shuttle...... but instead we get to hear grumbling from the taxi drivers. On this trip, the driver didn't even get out of the car at the hotel, so we had to unload our big luggage ourselves. The hotel needs to either figure something out or stop listing shuttle services.

My friends and I stayed at the Park Inn & Suites for 6 nights. For the budget-minded traveller it is very easy to catch public transportation from the hotel, there is a bus stop at the end of the parking lot. From the bus it is a short ride to the metro station that will take you within a few blocks of where ever you want to go in Montreal. The hotel itself was agreeable. The chandelier that hangs from the ceiling as you enter is attractive. The twin curving staircases seen from the entryway are also visually pleasing. The lobby smelled faintly of cigerette smoke but I could not smell any smoke in the hotel room. There are a couple of eating establishments within walking distance but there is also the option of dining in as there is a restaurant on the premises. There are also a few restaurants that deliver food at reasonable prices. The hotel staff was very friendly. They went out of their way on more than one occasion to provide detailed directions for us or to call a cab when we didn't use public transportation. The only complaint I had was a small one. At the time of our visit there was only one working ice machine in the hotel and midway through our visit that machine stopped working and we had to obtain ice from the restaurant. The neighborhood the hotel is in had a somewhat industrial feel but never once did I feel unsafe.
