Hubby and I made the trek to Montreal for a last minute anniversary trip- the trip was so last minute that we failed to realize Grand Prix was the same weekend. Needless to say, all hotels in downtown Montreal were booked. Since we have a car, we decided to expand our search outside of Montreal. Because of some crazy traffic we didn't arrive to the hotel until 3am! The lady at the counter was more than helpful, even going as far as to extend a little discount for our late arrival. The hotel was bare minimum but comfortable enough for what we wanted. It was more motel style than hotel. We were able to drive into Montreal in about 20 minutes. Overall, it served its purpose but we would have preferred to stay within city limits. For a budget trip to Montreal, this worked perfect. Oh! Andddd, the hotels name is not Days Inn now, it's L'Express Hotel. A little confusing at first especially since we don't speak any French!
