My wife and I bicycled from Quebec City to Gaspe and stayed at this campground. It was a bizarre experience. They had a grassy area for groups but with no 'group' using it but the checkin lady refused to let us use it. Instead sh assigned us a spot that was a mudhole. When we balked at that she gave us another spot which was not much better. We had the tent up when we were told we couldn't stay there without paying extra for the service outlets. So then, she gave us a third place in the middle of some RVs but it was grassy. We moved our tent and thought all was well. An hour later the owner came along and wanted to know why we were in THIS spot and wanted more money because it was an RV slot. I told him our tale of woe and asked why we couldn't have stayed in the 'group' area. He was stunned and said thats where cyclists should be!!. He let us stay put for the night. Anyway, this is supposed to be a 'bicycle friendly' campground certified by the Route Verte of Quebec. Its a nice campground, but if you are cycling ask for the manager to get the right spot.
