My wife, baby daughter, and I stayed here in early July 2006. We loved it! Our suite (201) was spacious, new, and very attractively furnished. The folks at Mermaid Art knew we were bringing a baby and thoughtfully set up a high chair and even had outlet covers waiting. Broadband was fast and reliable.
We live in Midtown Atlanta and like being in an urban setting. This location was right in the heart of Charlottetown, with a variety of superb restaurants and cafes within a few blocks. The complimentary breakfast certificate entitled us to a variety of items at a cafe downstairs, which was excellent and staffed with friendly people.
The bed was comfortable and we even made use of the sofa bed, which was also comfortable. There's no central air, but a free-standing AC connected to one window did an ample job of cooling the apartment on the hottest day of July. Everything was extremely clean. The only item we felt was lacking was a dishwasher.
Parking might seem like an issue if you're not used to being in a city, but we really felt it was no big deal -- there's a garage just a block away that was very modestly priced.
On the last day, the housekeeper helped us get our bags to the car, and everyone we dealt with was delightful. We consider this, the Berlin Marriott on Potsdamer Platz, and the Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee to be our all-time 3 favorite places to stay (and this from a field of more than 2 dozen hotels we stay at each year). We highly recommend staying here and hope to rent the whole place out for a stay with family sometime in the near future.
