We stayed here on the 3rd day of our honeymoon booked one night stayed two, we have traveled the world and stayed in the best places from Toronto to Australia, this is the coolest place, service is unbelievably good and the breakfasts are very special, they even made me Irish soda bread when they found out I was Irish, they did our laundry for free, we will be back here very year for our anniversary as long as they stay open. Thank you for a very special stay.

We just returned from our first stay at the Elmwood and cannot be more pleased.

We tried to book a room while driving through a tropical storm. Things were looking up when we received a warm and welcoming email from the Innkeepers and owners. Not only did we get a description of the rooms, but advice on what to see and where to eat.

The Inn is gorgeous! Feels like coming home after a long absence.

What is special though are the little touches. The candles on the breakfast table, the sauce on the fruit, the call to the distillery so we could have a private tour, the bubble wrap to ensure our Gin was safe, the ride to the Restaurant so we did not have to drive, the friendly chats in the morning, the movies to borrow...

We hope to return to PEI and no question, the Elmwood it is!!

Our first venture to PEI was rewarded with a great stay at Elmwood. The place is tastefully appointed, the breakfast was superb, and our host and hostess are helpful in all ways. A good time we had.

My wife and I visited the Inn in 2000 and were most impressed. We went back in October 2011 and weren't disappointed. It is without question the best bed and breakfast we have ever seen. The furnishings are good, but not exceptional. It’s the little touches that impressed us – our bathroom had a heated tile floor. The rooms have CD players. All have television, with DVD players. There is a selection of CDs and DVD's for guests’ use. Their level of service is excellent. When we asked about where to buy wine, Jay insisted on giving us a bottle. Jay explained that they buy it in bulk and bottle it themselves, and that they do not have a license to resell it. And Jay also gave us a bowl of cashews, and a bottle of white wine as well. When we discussed when we would have to leave to catch our flight in Halifax, they offered to serve breakfast as early as necessary to get us on the way. Lots of little touches. It's a long haul from Virginia but when we are back in that corner of the world we will definitely stay with them again.
