Very small breakfast area. No wi-fi in rooms, only in front lobby. Power went out for two hours one night and no backup power or emergency lights in room. No offer to discount because of power outage until I kicked up a fuss over it, then they did offer a 30% discount. All in all, we won't be staying there again. There are several nice hotels in the same area.

A basic but clean motel. Located on the outskirts of downtown Charlottetown. Ideal for an airport stopover (which my wife, 14-month old daughter and I used it for). Nothing wow about the breakfast (toast, bagels, boiled eggs, granola bars, yogurt) but at least it's there. There is no view. You are next to a gas station & car dealerships. There is no uniqueness. If you want a true charlottetown experience stay downtown. If you want easy access to the airport with no fuss and no muss, this place is for you.

They have free cribs which is good.

We only stayed for one night, but it was great! Comfortable bed, clean room. The internet was a little slow but it wasnt a huge deal. Breakfast was decent. We would stay here again for sure!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during a driving tour of the Maritimes in August 2010. While some previous reviewers have complained about the location, that aspect of this hotel has both good and bad points.

First, the bad - You cannot walk to the Charlottetown waterfront tourist attractions. However, if you drive and keep your eyes open, you can find some free on-street parking with no time restrictions very close to Founder's Hall and other attractions. Now, the good - If you are planning to tour other parts of PEI, it is much easier to get away from the city from the Comfort Inn's location than it would be from a downtown hotel. Go a kilometre east on Capital Drive, turn left at Highway 2 and you're out in the country and on your way to the north shore and Green Gables. Also, the Comfort Inn location is quite convenient if you wish to shop at the largest mall we could find in the area, which is near the corner of Capital Drive and University Avenue.

The hotel itself is a very standard Comfort Inn. I have stayed in many hotels in this chain and, while you could complain that all of its rooms are the same, you can almost always rely on a consistent level of comfort and cleanliness. While the hotel is on a busy road, I found that my front-facing room was remarkably quiet. Also, although the lobby breakfast area was small, I must compliment the lady who runs the continental breakfast for keeping things very clean and organized while maintaining a pleasant attitude.

Overall, I found this hotel to be a pleasant place to stay and a reasonable value.
