This motel does not have a website and it's no wonder why. It's a decrepit facility and we never got a good nights' sleep there.
Problems:
1. Bedding: I could buy better bedding at a yard sale. The bedding was, I'm not kidding, 30 years old, based on the fabric and colours.
2. Toilet: The toilet seat was a foam seat with a slit in it; who knows what kind of bacteria was hiding there.
3. Bathroom: The bathroom was clean but old, and the water smelled strange.
4. Beds: The beds are horrendously uncomfortable. My husband slept in the car.
5. Bugs: We found a deer tick in the bathroom.
6. Noise: Located right on the highway, all you can hear all night long are transport trucks droning by. This doesn't stop all night. You would expect that being located in the middle of farmer's fields, this motel would be quiet. Not so!
7. Floors: The floors have soft spots.
8. Ceilings: The ceilings have water stains (leakage) and it's evident that a big rainstorm will cave some of them in.
The good things about it:
1. Cheap. At $65/night it's one of the cheapest around.
2. Location: Tim Horton's is right around the corner.
3. Satellite TV.
Unfortunately for us, all other hotels/motels in the area were booked up so there was nowhere else for us to go. My advice: pay the extra $80/night and stay at the Rodd. The Lewis Motel is rated at 2.5 stars in the PEI tourism guide and the Rodd is a 3.5, but they are WORLDS apart.
