I truly believe the people who gave favourable responses on here have this motel confused with another hotel cause there is nothing even the slightest bit nice at this place. it was disgusting and smelly. The bed was so soft (a double bed) and it caved in in the center. The heat in the room was either on too long and got too hot, or it didnt click on soon enough and it got too cold. The room was filthy. There was "hair" on the bathroom floor. The bathroom window was broken and didnt close completely (this is february) and there was no heat in there so it was freezing. I am surprised the pipes didnt freeze in there. Initally no or little hot water in shower. Much door slamming, dogs barking going on in hotel. No high speed internet or perhaps i just couldnt pick up a signal that weak. The price was good but thats all it had going for it....i would never stay there again. I cant even get the smell out of the things i brought with me.

Came here for a quick one night stay to do a little bar hopping and gambling. Recieved the hotel on a Hotwire 2* for $51 with tax. For the area, it is about as cheap as you will find. Check in was fast and parking is readily available. The room is what one would expect for the value and from a local motel. A bed, a couch and a bathroom. I probably wouldn't stay here again only because of its location, however its not a terrible place.

Do not stay here. Booked thru hotwire at a low price. The rating was 2.5* I would suggest that it is a 1*. Rooms are very old with plaster coming off the walls. Stained baseboards & old furniture. Tv is cheap with poor signal. I have been staying at hotels for business for over 17 yrs & this has to be the worst. I have never experienced such from hotwire in the past. Be careful!

My boyfriend and I stayed here in early June of 2008. We booked through Expedia and when we got here, the man at the front desk couldn't find our reservation. The room we ended up in (smoking, even though we booked non-) was very large, with a whole lot of extra floor space. Our room had a queen-sized bed and a pull-out sofa, and was pretty clean. The comforter had a large cigarette burn, and the carpet was little sticky, but the bed was pretty comfortable. We shared our second-floor room with some very large ants, and some neighbor had the TV turned up to the very max; we could hear it over ours. The high water pressure in the shower was incredible, and the restaurant next door was very good (I can't remember the name, Jose's, I think.) We were excited for the pool, but when we got there it was solid green, but as I said, it was early June, so maybe they hadn't opened it for the season yet. The staff of the Devonshire weren't rude or prejudice as some reviewers described them, but they did seem a little unorganized and I didn't experience the bright, cheery, or helpful people some reviewers described either. There is a 24-hour convenience store across the street, but VISA cardholders beware: Their ATM didn't accept VISAS. In fact, it seems a lot of ATM's in Windsor don't accept them, so carry some cash on you. The casino is a short cab ride away, about $12. CASINO GOERS BEWARE: IF YOU ARE UNDER 19, YOU NEED TWO FORMS OF ID TO ENTER. ONE PICTURE, AND ONE WITH JUST A NAME, SUCH AS A CREDIT CARD OR BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

Overall, you get what you pay for. The Devonshire isn't an absolutely atrocious stay, and if you are on a tight budget, you can't really beat $60 on a weekend. I am returning to Windsor in a few weeks, and I don't plan on staying here.
