“Great Stay”

Had a great five night stay at Cozy Inn Suites. Loved that I had a suite with sitting area and full kitchen along with the bedroom and bath. Found it to be very comfortable and clean. After a day away, it felt like I was coming "home" instead of back to a cold, bare room. Great location within walking distance to Starbucks and the beaches. Very close to streetcar and train transportation into the city... bus stop right out front. Deb was very helpful orienting me to how to get to the public transportation, and offered her availability if I needed anything. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable. I'd not want to stay anywhere else in Toronto!

“Perfect honeymoon suite!”

We stayed at the Cozy Suites last minute, while on our honeymoon in Ontario. We didn't plan very much about the trip, so that we could just go with the flow and be spontaneous. I called Deb at the last minute, and lo and behold, she had a room available, and it was the one I really wanted from looking at the pictures! We stayed in the Hollywood North room, which was decorated with fabulous photographs of old film stars.

She stocked the fridge with the best orange juice I've had on this trip, delicious banana bread, and other tasty breakfast stuff. Along with the leftover wedding cake we had with us, it was more than enough for two days' breakfast for the two of us.

Despite facing the street, it was surprisingly quiet, and neither of us had any problem sleeping. Also, the hot water was HOT (be careful), and the water pressure was great.

The location is quite convenient, and it's a fairly easy walk down to the beach. There's a bus stop right out front, which is very nice for transit. From what I could tell, the bus stop wasn't an issue at all like it would be in some cities, with attracting unsavory types or anything. So no worries there.

Overall, it was a great experience. And for the price, a seriously good deal to boot!

“Exactly what we were looking for.........”

We moved 3 hours north of Toronto, after living there for 30 years. We wanted an attractive, affordable, convenient location spot with a kitchenette, queen bed, bath, and living room area with TV and DVD to come back to the city for short stays.
Cozy Suites meets our needs perfectly. The suite was so clean, even my Mother would have been impressed. The kitchen was absolutely complete---I checked off numerous items which I had assumed would never be found in this type of setting--everything you could think of was there. We had a great time in the city and slept really well at night; the suite was very quiet. The courtyard is lovely too. The location is close to everything you may need.
Our hostess/owner was gracious and welcoming; we will definitely be back.

“First-rate accomodation”

My wife and I relocated to Toronto this year (2011), and had the pleasure of staying at Cozy Suites for a month in August/Sept. while we searched for a permanent home. We chose the Inn after reading the many positive reviews here on TripAdvisor, so we’d like to chime in with our own two thumbs-up.

We stayed in the “Hollywood North” suite, a small bachelor. It has a comfortable living room – couch, coffee table (doubles as a dining table), chair, desk, modern kitchen with gas stove, small fridge, queen bed in an alcove, bathroom with tub/shower. Each suite is decorated in a different theme—ours had great photos of classic movie stars. There is a TV, DVD player (with a collection of DVDs), air conditioner and gas fireplace. A maid comes in twice weekly to clean and bring fresh towels; she changes the bedsheets once a week.

Deb, the owner, is a terrific host, very personable, always there to help with directions or general Toronto advice, yet remaining discreet. On our first day, she stocked the kitchen with fresh fruit, bread & butter, jam, juice, coffee, tea, and yummy homemade banana bread--everything you need for a first breakfast.

Deb keeps the suite and the grounds immaculate – and we’re picky! At the rear, next to the Inn’s parking lot there’s a fenced private patio with table, sunshade and comfy chairs, a BBQ, lots of plants and a fountain. Very relaxing after a day on the town.

The Inn is on a busy street, and our suite faced the front, but most people won’t find this an issue. We’re both hypersensitive to sound, yet were able to sleep well.

The Inn is located the “north Beach” area, which is far from the urban jungle, yet the transit connections downtown are easy and frequent. Local grocery (Loblaws), liquor store, gas, drugstore are a 10 minute walk away. You can be downtown in about 30 minutes, transferring from bus-to-subway.

It’s very pleasant to walk the area, which is safe – lots of families and schools, quiet, leafy streets, well-kept homes. It takes maybe 20 minutes at a leisurely pace to ease on down to the Beach area, with the many cafes, pubs, restaurants and stores along Queen St. East, not to mention the streetcar. A little lower, and you’re at the long boardwalk along lake Ontario. A great way to start the day. Or end it!

We’d stay at the Cozy Suites Inn again without a second thought, and would recommend it to our own friends and family. We’re very well acquainted with the array of temporary accomodations in Toronto, having stayed in several on various trips until discovering Cozy Suites. In our opinion, anyone looking for clean, comfortable, safe and reasonably priced accomodation in Toronto can do no better.

“Perfect for us - perfect location and perfect price”

This was our first trip to Toronto (our anniversary), and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay. We stayed in the Hemmingway Suite, which is on the lower level down some stairs from the courtyard and is apparently the largest suite. Hostess very welcoming and informative, remained accessible, yet didn't intrude, even told us she would be away for a day and when she would be back, but gave us contact info just in case we needed anything. Easy walk to public transportation and an interesting ride, so distance from heart of city was not a concern. Loved the neighborhood, and we were so relaxed some afternoons that when we could have been sightseeing, we opted to remain in our suite and just read, ate lunch, then strolled around the neighborhood admiring the landscaping and architecture. Beach, shops along Kingston Road and exploring the beautiful parks were highlights of our stay, and it was so delightful to come back "home" after our explorations, make dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, settle in and relax.
