“Feels Like We Have Our Own Downtown Condo!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My husband is here on business for a week & it is so great to have so much space it feels like we have a condo! There is a full kitchen in the room so I can make my own lunch for work the next day. The evening socials are such a nice touch and a great way to network! The breakfast options change every day and there are fantastic healthy options too! Good stuff to add to oatmeal! Great place to stay if for a long time! By the way the cleanest hotel room I've had in years. To not see even one hair from a previous guest is absolutely shocking. Which I have come to understand cleaning staff can't get absolutely everything. I've stayed in very high end hotels where you come across one or two, but wow!! I can't believe the cleanliness. No dust ! No hairs! It is unbelievable. And every staff member always says hello in the elevator and asks at least one question to you. This place is great! A home away from home.

“Friendly Staff - Great for Extended Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This was a great place for an extended stay. It was central to the financial district, very close to a restaurant district, and the dry cleaner was directly across the street. The hotel had a hot breakfast every day that i could rely on and there were grocery stores not too far from the hotel for other nights. I'd absolutely recommend this place. Rooms are clean, laundry is on 10th and 16th floor (I think) and it's just an easy trip. I was here for about 30 days.

Room Tip: There is a great restaurant right next door, Host 259, that has AMAZING Indian food. Definitely ord...

“Rocked it!”

I'd never heard of this hotel until I saw it on tripadvisor, but let me be among those who say this place is awesome. We arrived, with an early check in, and were upgraded to an amazing two-bedroom, two-bath suite. Our family has stayed in suites before, but this went above and beyond anything we've ever seen in terms of pure comfort and convenience. Our three-year-old son was thrilled to have his own TV with the Treehouse channel, and we were grateful to have our own TV without the Treehouse channel. Staff members were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect-o as it was in a comfortable walking distance from Union Station - even with three bags. My only criticism is the the tiles around the 'cool pool' are very slippery when wet as my three-year-old took a hard tumble and konked his melon and I also slipped, as did another guest that was there.

“great stay”

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and professional and we appreciated the upgrade to a one bedroom suite. The decor is modern and comfortable and the kitchen would have been useful for a longer stay. A good breakfast buffet was included and there was lots of choice. We also enjoyed the social with a stir fry which worked well for an early dinner before we went out for the evening. The bartender was most helpful in choosing the right ingredients for my favourite cocktail. Excellent value all round and we will continue to make Marriott our first choice when booking a hotel.

“Fantastic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I've got to say, I've travelled all over for business, and never had a better stay than in this hotel...for any price. Even the basic rooms are spacious, with a separate kitchen, sitting area, bed and bath. The place is modern, rate inclues wi-fi and breakfast, and the staff are fanastic. There's a very friendly and cozy feel that the staff give.

A couple of additional thoughts: this hotel is just up from the Rogers Centre and, while in the centre of the entertainment district, it is a bit of a walk from the subway (just be warned if staying in the winter). Also, while the rooms stack up nicely to any hotel I've been in, this hotel is usually full of families, so that is more the crowd than the usual business traveler. The pool and fitness area are fine, but on the small side. The bar is pretty tiny and the hotel doesn't really serve food other than breakfast. There's a bunch of hotels and bars in the area though.

As a comparison, I've stayed at the Renaissance down the street (typically double the rate and in desperate need of a reno), the King Edward (same price, but very tired rooms), One King West (modern, but TINY rooms), and the Eaton Centre Marriott (more $$$ and basic hotel room) in the downtown core, and this would get my $ any day of the week.
