Dirty, dirty, dirty!!! The room smelled like cigarette smoke and dirty socks. The comforter and bed sheets had holes in them and had a bad smell-- probably wasn't washed in a long time!! So we slept in our clothes on top of the comforter. Little did we know it was infested with bed bugs and we ended up waking up all night long because we couldn't stop itching and scratching all over. We had bug bites all over and especially our legs. Red marks and rashes bigger than the size of a dollar!!! I had to see a doctor and still have scars (now brown all over) to show for it. The better business bureau needs to know about this place and shut them down!!

And way overcharged-- we paid close to $150 dollars for one night during the film festival because we couldn't find a hotel at the last minute that was reasonably priced and close to where we needed to be. Had we known how awful this dump would be, we would have stayed elsewhere and paid more. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! STAY AWAY!

And furthermore, the t.v. was broken, the paint was peeling, the carpet was old and smelly, a big hole on the wall under the sink by the pipe, the towels were soiled, and we found dirty hair still in the bathtub from the previous customer.

We did not want to eat breakfast there! Couldn't imagine the health hazard and unsanitary conditions in their kitchen. We left first thing in the morning thoroughly disgusted!! This was the worst place ever hands down. The staff does not care at all!!! If they did they would have done something already! Wish we had read the reviews before we booked. Be smart and STAY AWAY!!! And save your money and your health. Big big disappointment. Shame on them for doing business this way. This place should shut down before they face any legal issues!! I want my money back!!! A vacationer's worst nightmare -- ruined our entire vacation in Toronto. Read all the customer complaints about this place and take it to heart. You're better off camping outside.

First time I have ever left a hotel. I was in room 4 on the main floor. I can't explain how gross this was. I was put off during my hour or so in the room before I pulled back the bedspread to go to bed and found a bedbug. I found two more (took some pictures) and left. Front desk was useless. If you stay here after being warned you deserve to take bedbugs home with you. If they paid you it wouldn't be worth it.

Bed Bugs. That is all you need to know about this dump! The staff could care less, they already know.

If you are quite well travelled you tend to take the bad reviews with a grain of salt, characterising that the reviewer is perhaps one of those that doesn't seem to understand the 'you get what you paid for' notion. This is not one of those cases. It is one of those hostels/hotels that are so dirty and depressing that they actually make you smile, or perhaps even laugh (depending on your own personal reaction).

Anyway having originally booked a dorm room, we were upgraded to a private with cable tv included due to reception not having the right keys for the door. It was at this point where the overall filth wasn't such an issue as i had a reasonable trade off, however that was until the bed bugs came out. In all my years of travelling this was the first time that i had been bitten (eaten), which does heighten some naivety as to how incredibly itchy the bites really are.

However if you are short on cash then there's still a chance that you might book a night here anyway, but despite it being cheap be mindful that there is no added value. The disappointing part is it could be a lot better but no one there seems to care.
