Barb and Randy are truly marvellous hosts. When we arrived, Barb showed us to a gorgeous modernly decorated room, with a fantastic shower and soothing aloe vera shower gel! The green theme of the room/house is also very apt. Barb and Randy then gave us an intro and suggestions to the sights to visit in town. Niagara Falls, and dining options for that night! Their recommendation was superb! And we enjoyed our fresh oysters and lobster at Big Daddy's at King St West. Next morning, Barb woke up early to cook us a very delicious breakfast. Very much appreciated for her kindness. On the last day, the breakfast was even more stunning, with matching crockery and table napkins! We were totally amazed at her care and attention to details. Very warm hospitality, definitely a must-try B&B, if you like a quaint house beyond the city downtown centre! And not to forget, their most friendly and adorable dog, Sam, who is so cuddly and leans on your feet for your patting!

I booked my stay at City Nights based on the reviews from this site and I was not disappointed. I normally stay at large hotels where I can be anonymous so this was a bit of a departure from the norm. Barb and Randy (the owners) are the most wonderful hosts you could wish for, from welcoming us with Japanese dumplings and sake to helping book sightseeing tours, you get the impression that nothing is too much trouble. The house and rooms are spotlessly clean and as for the breakfasts - the other reviews are spot on - they are wonderful.

Any drawbacks? I honestly can't think of any! If a 10 - 15 minute subway ride into Downtown Toronto is not for you then maybe you should look elsewhere - however I would suggest that the welcome, care, spotlessly clean environment, friendliness and huge breakfasts that you will encounter will far outweigh anything you will experience elsewhere. And as for Samson, the Bernese Mountain Dog - he is the biggest, most adorable dog you will ever meet!! Would I go back to City Nights? I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Toronto! I can't say better than that. Barb & Randy (& Samson) - thank you for a great time!

Never having stayed in a B&B before, we were unsure of what to expect, but our experience at City Nights far surpassed any hotel we might have stayed in --- for a fantastic price.

The rooms are clean and furnished with all sorts of amenities (robes, fancy soaps, hairdryers), the house is lovely and conveniently located near a subway (which allowed us to park our car for free and save a ton of money), and the breakfasts are outstanding --- so delicious that we continued eating even after we were stuffed. In addition, the owners are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive in the least, and their pets are adorable.

We can't thank the owners enough for being such great hosts. From the wine and shrimp cocktail on the first night, to providing maps, restaurant guides, and recommendations on the Niagara region, they really went above and beyond to make our stay in Toronto fantastic. A must-visit!

Great host !!! Barb was very helpful and gave us a lot of tips for Toronto and the Niagra area. The breakfast was top notch. Everything fresh cooked and delicious. The room was clean and nice decorated. The location is very close to downtown Toronto via subway. Approx. 20 minutes. Not the nicest, calmest area of Toronto, but very close to the beaches (nice neighbourhood) and the Greek Town (good restaurants.)
