I lived at the Cronmwell for six months for my post-doc at University of Toronto with my wife and baby. We had a great stay: quiet place, great location, supportive staff, very clean and safe. Many thanks to Nicole, Carlos and the ladies from the cleaning!

We have stayed in Cromwell Suites for more than 1 month. The rooms are very good. The main advantage is the fully equipped kitchen. Hotel is centeraly located. The only qualm is that the Manager / frontdesk incharge is not at all friendly. sometimes she tries to make changes to your checkout timings as per her availability. Otherwise the hotel is good and i'll recomend it specially for longer stays.

I stay at the Apartment Hotel every year I visit the great city of Toronto. It is just off Yonge Street and a few minutes from the Gay Village which is a great hangout place if you want to watch the nightlife and I am a nightlifer. The apartment is very clean and has a great balcony to sit on and enjoy the city lights. Its close to a subway and the Upscale Yorkville area. The parks and all night stores are right outside the door as well. The staff is always friendly and dont bother you. You will have an home for a weekly stay just like you are living there. The cost is half of what you will pay for a week in a major hotel. I have been staying here for 10 years now its the only place I like to stay. Highly recommended for someone who wants to cook their meals and relax downtown in a quiet simple apt. No real problems to report here. Its just a place I always enjoyed.

Cromwell Suites is a very nice place, very close to most downtown areas and best of all short walk to the Bloor transit station. We stayed there for 6 nights and was delighted. The room was clean and neat, kitchen area was also clean. That is another good thing about this place, the kitchen and with a market 1/2 a block away. It is not a new place and don't expect Residence Inn service or atmosphere but then the price was less than half of Residence Inn.
The management was friendly and we had a little trouble the first night but was taken care of immediately.
You do have to give a $250 deposit for reserving the room which is returned upon checkout and then of course when you check in you're charged for the nights lodging.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a great bargin on lodging and doesn't mind not staying in really posh environments.
You can save quite a few dollars eating in and just choosing when to eat out.
Close to most downtown locations.
