“A friendly place”

I stayed there for 10 days. The room ("les parisiennes") was good (clean, quite big, nice design, wifi access). I really enjoyed the breakfasts prepared by the hostess (you can have homemade pancakes, crepes or omelettes according to Michelle's mood). You need around 20-25 min. to go downtown Toronto by foot (a subway station is also close to the B&B). Last, I appreciated that Michelle is very attentive to her guests.

“It was nice.”

The room was very nice, the bathroom was very spacious with a large tub and shower. I was a little uneasy because the sky light above the bathtub can be seen from the upper floor deck. So I was a little weirded out by this.

We did receive a code to get into the house and was directed to a room with my name on it. I let myself in and my key was in my room.

The parking is difficult. There are parking lots across the street. It cost $14.00 for 12 hours and another $6.00 for overnight. There is no come and go to the parking lot. So if you went out it cost another $14.00 to park. I went out at dusk to pick up my husband from the airport and was approached by two different people. Kind of scary if you are a female traveling alone.

Breakfast was delicious. It was very tense eating in the kitchen with the owner and guests since they were just speaking french.

However, the stay was very enjoyable, the room was confortable, the breakfast delicious but it was lacking friendliness. I would recommend this B & B to couples that want seclusion and are 100 percent self sufficient.

“Lovely and comfortable.”

Lovely really cool room, in a quiet part of Toronto, just a little out of town, but this is compensated for by using the metro. The shower was fantastic, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the rooms beautifully decorated, with lots of interesting pictures. The breakfast is vegetarian, continental style with lots of lovely breads and we had a banana crepe, which was lovely.

We would definitely recommend it.

“Friendly and Comfortable”

Comfortable room, good bed. This is a friendly B&B. Vegetarian cooked breakfasts varies daily, plus fruit, breads, cakes, etc. Tea and coffee and buscuits available all day. I felt very much at home. The local subway station is about 3 minutes walk, easy access to all parts of town within 15 mins by subway. Even possible to walk to downtown central, but takes longer, perhaps not for every day. I was working in the business area in downtown and sight seeing at the weekend, ideally for both.

“Loved our stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2008

We stayed in the Artists suite.
It was a big room with a comfortable bed, and an extra big bathroom that had a shower and bath - all cleaned daily.
Michelle our friendly and helpful host also cooks the fantastic vegetarian breakfasts.
The room has a tv and upstairs there is free tea and coffee and access to the balcony that overlooks a garden.
A short walk to downtown Toronto and the subway.
Definitely recommend!
