SCAM !!! Avoid AT ALL COSTS !!!

I thought that I was getting a good deal making a lst minute reservation and getting a decent rate - But was I Wrong !

I arrived and had to wait in the lobby for 15 minutes while they looked up my reservation. The building concierge didn't have an envelope with my name on it.

I tried calling Suitre Toronto but THEY ARE CLOSED on sundays.

The reservation or room keys were never found. I had to find a hotel room at double the price.

I am still trying to get a refund !!!

AVOID THE SCAMMERS !!!

The air quality on our floor was very poor. There was hardly any fresh air coming in through the vents in the corridors.

The air was generally stale and smokey (cigarette and garbage smells).

Asked the management to do something about the problem, they just ignored us.

Would not recommend you stay here. Very poor value for money.

I stayed in the matrix for 5 weeks paying $700/week. There is a deposit taken from your card in the amount of $1200 which took 2 months after I had left to get back and only once I contacted the credit card company regarding the non authorized charge. I was then billed $950 for parking for my 35 day stay which was never explained at the time of the booking but hidden in the small print of the contract. This is outrages that any one could charge that for parking and I didn't even have a car.

I would definitely recommend people stay elsewhere. Hotels come at a much cheaper rate.

Suite Toronto - The Matrix is a vacation rental, an appartment rented out by the owner. The view from the appartment was sensational, virtually right on top of the SKY DOME (home of the Toronto Bluejays) and the CN Tower both within a five minute walk. Only 50 yards from the front door of the building is a 24hour market which has everything from bread to cereals and freshly cooked chicken to pasta.
The appartment was absolutely spotless, the cleanest ''hotel room'' i have ever stayed in. Two good size bedrooms, one on-suite. Living area nicely laid out and very modern with a kitchen area which opens out onto the living area. Air conditioning throughout, which was handy because the temperature for the whole ten days was around 82f / 28c with the last day spent at Queens Quay on the river front in temperatures reaching 87f / 30c.
We paid just £996 for the appartment (£98 per night for 9 nights plus taxes etc). Worth every penny.
The MATRIX is located on Front Street West although you have to collect the keys at Richmond Street West which took about five minutes.
The Matrix is not a hotel, it is the next best thing, but if you want self catering you wont do better.
