“need to update furnitures , frames, carpet and pianos in the reception hall”

We have booked the old Mill for a wedding reception. we thought this could be a nice elegant venue .

We were initially excited with the atmosphere, the old setting and booked the hall for a wedding this year . However, when we are seriously checking the place to decorate for the upcoming wedding, we found out furnitures disgusting, in really bad condition and appearance . some furnitures are similar to old basement furnitures they are awful!!!

Pianos in the hall are disgusting, with wood cracks, needs at least to give it some polish or restoration , a grand piano would be great to see in this place , not worn out, unpleasant appearance of pianos that you would not even dare to touch . antique furnitures need to be restored and refinish Mix and match of furnitures in the hall is unacceptable, they should get an interior decorator and update this place. Frames are cheap and needs to be replaced .

We wanted to get a pianist for the hall but this piano is disgusting and the wood cracks are all over the piano. would rather have it covered than get someone to play this instrument.

We are hoping they would get this updated before this summer of 2012

Unfortunately we can no longer back out as it is late and cannot refund the downpayment. Hope something will be done before the summer this year to make us proud of the venue for my son's wedding.

Truly a pleasant experience, a home away from home. I travel frequently on business to all the provinces and this is my favorite spot. It has beautiful surroundings, clean and comfy beds with a team of friendly staff to make each stay so enjoyable.

“Romance in the city”

Who says you need to travel out of the city for a relaxing getaway. My wife and I recently purchased a Jaunt getaway to the Old Mill that turned out to be a nice romantic break for a busy couple. Since we live only 5 minutes away the travel time didn't cause any stress to our mini vacation. A trip to the spa, an afternoon nap (the Inn is very quiet), dinner and dancing followed by a nightcap and jazz made for quite an evening. The rooms are nice, the food is good and overall the service met our expectations.

“A Wow time!”

The room was excellent and well appointed - fireplace added a romantic touch. Our dinner (Winterlicious) was very good. Accommodated a vegan dinner for one of us. Dancing with 'Graffiti Park' was an excellent bonus with our dinner.
Management and staff were more than accommodating to our requirements. We would definitely recommend a dinner, dance evening and hotel stay based on our recent experience. The Old Mill has maintained its high standard of excellence.

Room Tip: Top floor is quieter.
