“Friendly and helpfull staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

I stayed for one night with two friends at the Ramada. We had booked a room with two double beds, in a non-smoking room for a discounted CAA rate. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and checked in quickly. The room we were given was a disaster and reeked of cigarette smoke. The front desk staff were very applogetic, and immeadiately re-assigned us a new room, and even upgraded us to a larger room with two queen beds. The second room was perfectly clean, non-smoking and had a decent view. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but had a good-sized walk in shower. Ample towels. I was happy that I used their underground parking as I woke up to a snow storm, and my car was ice-free and ready to go. I would go back again for a fuss-free night's stay in a good location.

Room Tip: 10th floor was very quiet. Noticed a raging party on a lower floor.

Dear guest, Thank you for reviewing our hotel. We are very glad to hear that your stay was enjoyable and that you did not have to deal with cleaning off your car after the snow storm came through. The staff and management hope to see you on your next trip to Toronto.

“Perfect for crashing on a Saturday!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I've stayed here twice, once in a renovated room and once in an older one. Both were fine but the renovated one was obviously much nicer! I was very satisfied. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, location was good and the price was awesome ($100 on a saturday night) Honestly, you can't beat this place in terms of value.

However, i do agree it might not be the best place if you're easily scared by the occasional hooker or homeless person as you'll defiantly see this at night. I use to live close by for 4 years so i sort of became immune to it...

Random note...if you want ice you have to go to the basement...they don't have an ice dispenser on each floor.
Will defiantly come back!

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room, bathroom is much nicer.

Dear Guest, Thank you for reviewing our hotel. I am very happy to hear that you have enjoyed your stays with us and that you will be back in the future. When it comes to the area we are working with the local police and the other five hotels in the area to see what if anything can be done with the random homeless person.

“Great Hotel, Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

After staying in the Ramada for the first time last winter, I have made it my regular hotel for my frequent Toronto visits. The hotel is clean, comfortable, convenient (506 streetcar is at the corner) and a great value with spacious rooms. I went there a few weeks back and was upgraded to a full suite at no extra charge when my reservation was for a regular room. This will be my home away from home from now on in Toronto.

“Spacious Hotel, Great Amenities, Helpful staff, Lacking a few things but Great so far”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Had won this hotel thru Priceline for a super nice deal! I read reviews of this place and was very weary of my stay, Nonetheless stayed here the Jan 2012 visit. Its quite far out from city attractions but its a good walk..Outside of the hotel looks nice. When i came inside was very small but warm reception area. Was quickly served and the lounge was very nice with Flat LCD TVs hanging around, a small business centre that i couldn't access with my key card but was in a rush so didn't get a chance to access.. Checking in was a breeze, BUT i was not happy with the $100 deposit fee which took a week to credit back on my card.. The elevator area is right behind reception area and its very small elevators, maybe 5 people can fit into one elevator and it takes quite awhile for one to come down. Theres only 2 elevators!

Upon coming off to my room which is the 7th floor theres only 10 floors i think for this hotel. The elevator opened up to a dark yet lit hallway which is nice. The key card entry to my room was nice, when i opened to my room i was very SURPRISED the room was very very spacious! Two queen beds very comfy good sleep. Sitting area with coffee table was great for any guests or a drink. The Closet space was very spacious! I was very impressed with the wash room although it was small it was a walk in shower with glass window open-close type. (Watch your step coming in and out as theres a block height) The soaps, lotions, shampoo had this great scent i couldn't stop smelling them! Very impressed good lighting and also they had this fan in there as well where it sucks up odors which is great, The counter space is very tight n small so be aware of that. Overall the room was spacious and great stay for the night may even stay here during a long weekend i was very impressed!! Free wifi internet access and reliable fast speeds as well is a good amenity.

Back to the reception area has a neat little Waterfall window thing which was nice to look at. The access area to the pool was a good walk and the pool was very nice. Wasnt impressed with the changing area tho its old needs renovation. I was surprised to see both a steamroom and sauna in one here! They had a great exercise room with all equipment.

Some cons were the carpet was very stained!! needed a super scrub or clean.. They just needed to go!! The desk chair was stained and it looked old needs replacement, Need new pillows although i slept well, the pillows were losing the cotton-feathers or something they were worn out??? Elevators being small and taking long to come around. My key card didnt work to access Business Center the line up at reception was long so i didn't bother to ask.

I would definetly rate this hotel Superior if they did something about the carpets and pillows, but overall had a great stay. I have uploaded some pictures from this hotel!

Room Tip: Get a high floor preferably 2 queen beds the rooms are very spacious.. Request for an updated room w...
