I am a regular at TPL.
ANything you can think of - they have. Toronto Public Library caters to the people, residents of Toronto. They have excellent services, programs, events, etc. It is difficult to describe how many different things they offer. There are 99 branches all across the city. You can take items from any of the libraries as long as they are not reference material, and you can return them to any other branch that is comfortable for you. Also, if the branch that is closest does not have the item you want, they have a system of putting it on hold and delivering it from other branches to the one that is comfortable for you. They also offer cervices to those who are visiting Toronto, newcomers, teens, children, elderly, adults, etc. They also have a wide variety of online services including ebook download, research of material catalog, etc.
There is no fees if your items are not overdue - prevent it by renewing your items and remembering your due dates.
Highly recommend! -why would you spend $30 on a book you read once? and if you want to read it again later, borrow it from the library again.
There are books, movies, newspapers, books on tape, magazines on all topics possible. They also offer material and services for individuals with disabilities.
