“After The Fees & Extras, It Was No Bargain”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Stayed on Business. This Hotel was booked because it was assigned to me by the Customer.

$12.00 per day for parking in an open, unsecured, “Park at Your Own Risk” lot is outrageous!

I have to admit though, the room I had was very nice. I had been upgraded to a Deluxe room on the Lake side. The rooms on the Lake side have outdoor balconies, so if there are any Smokers reading this, the balcony would be convenient. The hallway smelled slightly musty, but the room was neutral. I didn’t detect any type of smell in the room. (Good, bad, or otherwise.)

The room was quite large. Bathroom was nice. The beds were clean, and the mattress was firm. Very large flat screen TV with around 75 channels. Good quality picture that was easy on the eyes. Heat was effective and quiet.

Large work desk, with convenient power outlets. Outlets were also available at bed side.

Breakfast was at 6:30am. It was a nice buffet equal to the others, with eggs, breakfast meat, hash browns, and the usual continental items. Breakfast is usually free at the other Hotels I use, but this one cost me $17.00 per day.

So, in the end, the room was nice, but after taxes and add on fees, the price was not.

“Recent stay was very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Over a two week period, I spend 7 nights at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and the restaurant. The hotel is not new, but the rooms have been upgraded and are clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a limited menu, but it is very good quality. The breakfast buffet is also very good and a good value. Finally, the hotel is a close to transit so you can be on the subway in 10 minutes or downtown by streetcar in 20. So, save money and stay here.

Room Tip: Get an SPG membership and they will upgrade you to a lake view room.

“We've stayed here before...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

We have stayed here a number of times before, but were a bit concerned after we made our last reservations then read the reviews saying that the hotel had gone downhill. What we found was much the same as what we have come to expect at this particular location. Four Points by Sheraton on Lakeshore is located close to where our children live, so we often stay at the Four Points when visiting them.

All of the staff at this Four Points were very accommodating during our stay. The room was clean though somewhat dated; but we didn't spend a lot of time there, so it was not a problem for us. We were on the lake side of the hotel, so noise was not an issue either, even though Lakeshore is a fairly busy thoroughfare as well.

The $12 parking charge was quite reasonable for the location and considerably less than most other hotels.

We will return to this hotel in the future..

Room Tip: Lake side is quieter.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Stayed at this property for one night. As a Starwood Preferred Gold member, I was upgraded to a SPG preferred room on the fourth floor facing the Lake. This room must be a newly renovated one as it did not have a bathtub as in previous photos, but a glass shower, and new bathroom vanity sink.

A very large 42 or 46 inch LCD tv was in the room and when I entered the room, the temperature was nice and warm, with the iHome radio clock playing music.

I had no problems checking in and my stay was nice and quiet without any interruptions. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable.

Please note that there is a $12 parking fee per night, however inroom WIFI Internet was free of charge.

The coffee maker, in room safe and microwave were located in the large closet.

Fridge was also provided below the workdesk.
Two bottles of water is provided complimentary

“Good Concept”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

After staying at the Fairmont York Hotel we searched for a hotel for a night. We called our friends in Turkey and they offered us this hotel. They made the reservation for us. We arrived late at night and we parked our car in front of the hotel. Reception was helpfull. There is a room just at the back side of the reception for internet and we used it as a free of charge. Room is larger than the one we stayed in Royal York Hotel. No bellboy, no doorman etc. like Hilton GardenInn concept. Good price, good location, large room and comfortable beds.
