“Great hotel for shopping and theatre!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I stayed at this hotel with my 2 teenage girls and we all loved it. The pool was fantastic and the roof top hot tubs with large movie screen was a hit with the girls. The size of the room with 2 queen beds and kitchenette was excellent. Plenty of room to walk around and lay our suitcases out. I like the fact that it is not carpeted in the rooms...a much cleaner feeling! The location of the hotel at first seems sketchy but it is a very short walk to the Eaton Centre for shopping and to the Canon Theatre for a show. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to take you certain places...great if it is raining out. You may want to take a cab to the theatres in the Entertainment District but it only costs about $10! The bellhops are very helpful. The breakfast is amazing...so much choice! We would definitely stay here again.

“The Grand Hotel is grand!”

What a wonderful stay. We stayed 2 nights and throughly enjoyed it. The hot tubs on the roof with the large screen tv were a fabulous bonus! The room was well appointed with 2 flat screen tvs one in the sitting aread one in the bedroom which made for no complaining about the tv viewing lol. A small kitchen with everything you need was nice to have. The free shuttle service was wonderful. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant which for Toronto was surprising. I would highly recommend The Grand Hotel for anyone staying in Toronto!

Room Tip: Book the highest floor you can the city view is fabulous! We were on the 17 th floor what a view!

We had a delightful stay in Toronto, Canada at The Grand Hotel on Jarvis St. There are two large hot tubs on the rooftop on the 19th floor with a view of beautiful downtown Toronto. There is a lovely 2 story swimming pool indoors with another hot tub...if you don't prefer to freeze in the winter... We tried both and found it very fun!
The rooms are very spacious , with two televisions.... We also tried eating at their restaurant, The Citrus and the food was superb!!.... a definite must try.... !!!!
We found the service was excellent and friendly and most enjoyable.

Room Tip: We added on the dinner package to our room, it was definitely well worth the extra.... we suggest yo...

“Loved it”

The rooms were a bit small but comfortable. Loved the roof top area with a big screen TV and jacuzzi. We would stay there again. The food in the hotel was delicious. It's a bit pricey for such a hotel. Great location- only two blocks from Eaton Centre.

I'm in Toronto every 3 weeks for 4-5 days and let me tell you I'm very happy to have found this place. When I got bumped from my habitual hotel I was sent here and this will be my go-to place in Toronto from now on. The rooms are bigger than most downtown hotels (not that I need more room since I usually am travelling alone...but still...nice to have), the staff was very friendly, but best of all..at least for me, was the indoor pool and the huge (by hotel standards) gym...At first I was taking a cab to my meetings until I realized how close I was.. Our offices are near Dundas square which is only 6 minute walk...Another big plus was the yummy sushi!!! I'm not sure if it's available all the time but it was absolutely delicious...as was the morning breakfast...can't start my day without a healthy portion of bacon (that's where the gym comes as a big bonus...lol! ) Big clean rooms, nice classy decor, great amenities...Great Value!
