“A solid choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

This is my hotel of choice in downtown Toronto. It is conveniently located, friendly staff, clean, and beds are excellent. Nice panoramic view glass elevators.

I usually go for an executive room booking. Access to the lounge is worth it for a "continental plus" breakfast and for meeting in the evening. There is a boardroom in the lounge that can be booked. It is very useful for meeting as a group unless you require privacy. Mary who works at the lounge is a lovely hostess who has a remarkable memory for people and names. She makes you feel that it is a home away from home.

I try to stay on floor 31 because there is a stairwell connecting to the 32nd floor lounge but at the moment, this floor is slated for renovation and so is a standard room floor. Avoid the "02" rooms as they sit on the elevator banks and while one side is turned off at certain hours, they go fairly late and start fairly early.

Room Tip: Avoid "02" rooms if you do not want to sit on an elevator bank.

Dear Trip Advisor Member....

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and for your continue loyalty! We greatly appreciate your business!

We are very pleased that we will be introducing a completely new Executive Level room product in late 2012 and design of this room is currently underway. Perhaps upon future visits in mid 2012 our team will have the opportunity to share the new designs with you personally. I'm sure that as we return the upper floors to our premium experience you will once again be able to enjoy that short "walk" up to the Executive Lounge!

Thanks again for your comments! If there is ever anything we can do to enhance your time with us, please don't hesitate to let us know!

Warm wishes,

Edwin Frizzell

“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed just one night but it was a very pleasant hotel. Good location, just slightly outside of the financial district, so convenient to just about everything downtown. Subway station just a block away and the hotel is on the Path which makes it easy to get to restaurants and shopping without going outside. We had a corner king suite on a high floor, so the view was quite nice, although we were facing north. I'm sure the south view would have been even nicer. The room itself is quite large with a sofa and chair, big screen swivel TV, and a big work desk. The bathroom, although nice enough, is showing wear with paint peeling etc. King bed very comfortable. Difficult to find electrical plugs. Very strange there was no minibar in room, just an empty space where a fridge should go.

Bar in the lobby was very crowded in the evening, with inattentive service. Hotel restaurant was empty during peak dinner time (we could see into the restaurant from the bar), and was also not very busy for breakfast in the morning. Buffet food was passable.

Concierge was very helpful. Front desk staff okay too.

“Excellent location!”

Hotel is located in excellent place, just example 1,5.km to CN tower and Hockey Hall of Fame. Hotel is under renevation so rooms where I did stay was renevated just a while go. View from floor 22 was awesome to Toronto downtown. Only negative thing about this hotel was very poor breakfest buffet.

Room Tip: Try to take high floor so you will get nice view.

“OK hotel, not very keen breakfast staff, great concierge.”

Rooms are a bit old but overall the hotel's facilities are fine. Location is quite convenient, close to most of the major sights although not so close to many restaurants, particularly during the weekend.

Concierges are very helpful and detailed with their instructions.

However, breakfast waiters are quite a disappointment, you really need to ask a few times to get some coffee or a tiny glass of orange juice; buffet area quite sloppy and that has been consistently the case.

I would probably stay there again, but would not eat there again.

“Best Hilton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I'm not a great fan of the Hilton chain, but I really enjoyed my stay here. Mainly I think because I had a very nice junior suite with good views, a huge bed and a living area. The room was bright, clean and spacious. I paid just CAD 165 per night which seemed a great rate. The hotel is tatsetfully decorated and designed and avoids the institutional feel of many chain hotels in north America. The staff were very helpful. I had a problem with the hot water in my room which was quickly sorted out, although the bathroom fittings could do with updating. I was also a bit surprised to have no minibar in the room. The buffet breakfast (CAD26) is very good and comprehensive.

Dear Trip Advisor Member.....

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us! I'm pleased to learn that your time with us was enjoyable and met your expectations!

Minibars were removed from the hotel and throughout the brand several years ago based upon customer feedback. New for 2012, we will be adding in-room refrigerators to our rooms as an added feature, commencing with our Executive Level and HHonors floors in Spring 2012. Hopefully this additional element will further enhance your time with us!

We greatly appreciate your business and hope that we will see you again soon!

Warm wishes,
