After checking numerous hotels and scouring Trip Advisor reviews I settled on the Novotel Hotel in Toronto for a one night stay. Where to begin?... Bad location - entire street in front of the hotel is under construction. We were awoken at 2am with the sound of a back hoe right out side our window. This went on until 5am. We were unable adjust the temperature in the room. The thermostat read 16 degrees, but it was about 28 degrees. Bad mattress, no feather pillows or neck pillows available to guests. I was shocked to see a 25 inch screen television perched on the console. No flat screen here! And the lighting was dreadful. The room was overall very dreary and not a place you would like to spend any more time than necessary. Carpets needed a good vacuum. Must I say more!. I feel duped and disappointed by both their web site and my fellow Trip Advisor reviewers - you let me down. I complained to management and have yet to hear back from them.
