We had stayed for 11 days before we could find an apartment after arrival in Toronto. It was far down from what we expected from a 3-star average hotel. A malodorous, dirty building with no monitoring on arrivals late night (very unsafe), a broken old elevator (surprisingly they posted proudly a notice on the wall that it was one of the oldest in city still working; it, however, needs emergency maintenance), unimpressive and bad-tempered staff, bad housekeeping service (one time cleaning a week!!), broken and good-for-nothing computers on the internet room (we used our laptop), very noisy even at 4 or 5 AM, filthy floor, wornout linens and bed stuff, broken phone (with an expensive extra charge for your calls), shutying off water, useless heater in December, etc (are you waiting for the rest? not enough?); all for an uacceptable expensive rate caomparable with a better 4-star hotel in downtown. We regreted for our selection.
