“Location Great”

My friends and I got 2 rooms at the Primrose hotel as we were going to a concert at the Phoenix and they were within walking distance. We were happy that they were able to give us adjoining rooms which made getting ready so much easier. The hotel is in a good location and there is a great Irish pub about a block away that we went to after the show.
Staff were really good and let us check out at noon instead of the normal time. Only problem was they weren’t able to give us our rooms when we arrived a few hours before check in, and said that although they had rooms they didn’t have any adjoining ones available. They were able to store our bags though until they were ready and we only had to wait about 45minutes so I guess technically it was still an early check in. Also, got asked by a security guard when we came back after the concert for our room key or else they wouldn’t let us get on the elevator.
We had a great time though, and hope to come back again.

“Well Above Expectations”

We recently went to Toronto and were booked into the Primrose Hotel via Hotwire. We are familiar with the Best Western name, so expected a certain standard and were pleased that they were above what we were expecting.
The hotel is obviously undergoing renovations, and we were lucky to get one of the newly done rooms (in fact we were told by the girl at check in that we were the first people to stay in the room as it was just completed that morning). We were very impressed and although we don’t know what the room looked like before, it was evident that the furniture was all brand new as there were no wear marks or stains on anything. Even the bathroom looked like they were done also as everything was spotless.
We were extremely impressed and would definitely recommend people go here, but make sure to ask for one of the new rooms. Well worth the money paid.

“Sales Staff Were Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I used the sales department at the hotel to make a booking for a block of rooms coming to Toronto for a family wedding. I was very pleased with the arrangements made, and since we weren’t exactly sure how many rooms we needed, the hotel allowed us to reserve 15 rooms, and provided we told them a few weeks in advance, didn’t charge us for the rooms which we didn’t need. They were also able to give us rooms all on the same floor which made things much easier to get ready on the morning of the wedding.

We ended up with 12 rooms in total and no one in our group had any problems or complaints. I guess the only thing I didn’t really like was the cost of the parking which was $23 a day, but I guess after paying close to $40 for valet parking at the wedding venue and hearing that someone else at the wedding paid almost $30 for parking at their hotel, I can’t really complain since it looks like Toronto in general is expensive for parking.

We all really enjoyed our stay, and hope that sometime in the future, we will be able to return to Toronto and explore the city more since we really didn’t get much time to look around.

“A Good Choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Had to go to Toronto for a series of training seminars which were being held at the Convention Centre. Had planned to stay at the Royal York since it was across the street, but ended up at the Primrose Hotel since the rate was about $60 cheaper a night. Even with the $20 round trip taxi ride to the meeting and back I still saved money. My other reason for choosing this hotel was the fact that they have free wireless internet access which was much needed.

The room itself was very nice and quite large by normal hotel standards. The staff were friendly and helpful in arranging my daily taxis to the convention centre. An added convenience is a Tim Horton’s in the lobby which opens an hour earlier than their restaurant. I was pleased with my stay overall and would have no reservations in staying again on my next trip.

“Friendly Staff and Clean Rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Had to stay in Toronto for a meeting and got a room at the Primrose Hotel. The price was reasonable and I was able to get a King bed. Staff were great at accommodating my requests (south view, away from the elevators and ice machines on a high floor) The room was great it had free coffee and excellent free WiFi, which was a huge plus. The location was good walking distance to a good restaraunt down the street, would not hesitate to book again.

Room Tip: park out back its tight in their underground. The restaraunt is called the Blake House its excellen...
