“Great hotel for business or a couple's getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I've stayed here a number of times, and the experience has been predictably good.

Positives:
- large rooms
- Nearby restaurants,
- the Royal Ontario Museum
- near the University of Toronto
- good pool for swimming lengths
- good (but pricey) martinis in the bar
- generally quiet rooms
- bathrobes
- large flat-screen TV
- soaker tub and separate shower
- large desks
- very clean
- excellent bath amenities

Negatives
- expensive internet access
- lousy chair for working at the desk
- pillows too high and hard for my taste

Room Tip: In my experience the Room ending in 01 (e.g. 501) are great. They are corner rooms so are a little l...

“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed for the weekend. Right across the street from the ROM and walking distance to mega shopping. Very comfortable, clean and relaxing. Great lap pool and gym on the 8th floor. Easy access to subway lines.
Pay per use for wi-fi is a rip off. Didn't think hotels did that any more.
Parking is in the municipal lot in back which has underground access to hotel.
Enjoyed the stay and would use them again.

Room Tip: We took the cheapest room and were very happy with it.

“Classy Joint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Have stayed here a few times and always found the rooms comfortable. Attended the on-site restaurant for private events and for breakfast and found the service, food and setting to be perfect. The location of this hotel is ideal for shopping and site seeing. Bonus... Across the street from the ROM and on the subway line.

One complaint - wifi cost are insane!

“a great hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I always stay at this Intercontinental when I am in Toronto on business. The location is great, it close to my head office for meetings and it's close to great restaurants and shopping when I'm not.

The staff are great - helpful and friendly.

“Always A Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Absolutely always enjoy our stay at the Intercontinental (Yorkville). We just returned from another relaxing weekend there. Because my spouse is a VIP member, we are always up-graded to a suite on the 8th floor. The rooms are nicely decorated and the king size bed is fabulous and comfy! Bathrobes and slippers, luxurious towels and bath sheets, lots of glasses, (wine glasses included), Keurig coffee maker, and very nice toiletries make the stay extra special. The suite is furnished with a desk, a couch, chair, coffee table and armoire with a big screen TV and a bar inside. The bathroom is large and includes both a bathtub and a separate shower stall. Also enjoy the swimming (lap) pool and the gym which is small, but modern. There is a restaurant on site, and room service is reasonable and very quick, however, this location has many great dining options! The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgable. This location is fantastic for shopping, dining, taking a stroll. There is also great subway service from this location as St. George Station is right across the street. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Toronto!

Room Tip: Love the suites on the 8th floor.
