My husband and I had never been to Toronto before, but after some research we decided that West Queen West would fit our needs best due to the fact that we like to stay away from super touristy areas. The location couldn't be better with the streetcar right at the end of the street. The area is also full of great shops and restaurants.

The Bed and Breakfast itself met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations. Besides location, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and just what we wanted in the morning. The breakfast included breads, some fruits (including kiwis one morning, my favorite!), cereals, yogurt and coffee and tea. Enough to power us through for some sightseeing around the city.

The owners were incredibly hospitable and helpful. I can't say enough great things about this B&B and would definitely stay again.

We didn't arrive at Index until about 1.15 am (our flight had been delayed for over 4 hours) but the owner, KS Lee, waited up for us and made us feel very welcome.
Holly, his wife, was also very welcoming and helpful, when we met her at breakfast the following morning. She provided maps of Toronto and lots of travel tips, as this was our first visit to the city.
A streetcar goes from the road end into the centre of Toronto and we also found it fairly easy to get to Union St Station for a trip to Niagara Falls.
There was no charge to use the phone and taxi recommendations were provided.
The only slight negative was the limited breakfast choice.
On the whole, this is a lovely place to stay, when visiting Toronto.

This is the kind of place like to find on my travels. A bit unusual and a refreshing change from the Holiday Inn's and other chains. Good value too. Nice enough room and breakfast served in the owners gallery, all very pleasant. I would much rather see my cash go to hard working people in this kind of place rather than giving it to faceless corporates.

To be fair the rooms are nice, but the walls are so paper-thin you can hear people chatting- even whispering- in all of the adjacent rooms... forget about it if they raise their voices or come home late at night. We're sound sleepers and were woken constantly. One of the hosts is pretty unfriendly and the breakfast is poor- they should probably just do away with it altogether. The location is good and the rooms are nice, but considering the downsides that's just not enough.
