This hotel is very close to the hospital--there is a path that you can walk to the hospital--driving it is just around the corner. I had a very early appointment so it was good not to have to drive a long distance through the city.If you phone the hotel direct you can get a hospital rate(choice points will not be applicable). The staff are very friendly and helpful.I had early morning surgery and was an out patient. On request they left me to rest without disturbance.The room was quite and clean. The bed was very comfortable.The breakfast was more than adequate with waffles and fresh fruit.We loved the raisin bread.I liked the fact that the breakfast area was large --not crowed like some hotels.Will stay again.There is no pool. Subway restaurant is next and another that opens up at 11 am.

This is the third time that I have stayed at this hotel. I travel to Thunder Bay once a year for business and since it opened this would be the only place I would recommend. I request my same room and it is always made available. The thing that I really like about is that is exceptionally clean, there are no covered up odors, there's no dirt or dust, the linens and bedding are odor free and the entire facility is smoke free. The rooms are set at a comfortable temperature (you can adjust at your pleasure), in fact I never heard any of the usual hvac equipement run in the two nights that I stayed there. There are modern flat screen TV's in the room with mini fridges. The continental breakfast is OK (standard fare for this type of hotel), staff are helpful and polite. There is a Tim Hortons kitty corner from the hotel and a Subway sandwich store on the same lot. Also there is an exceptional restaurant w/lounge on the same lot, the food is very good with a good atmosphere, so there are alot of eating options without having to drive.
This hotel has never disappointed me.

The hotel is located near to the university and the hospital, so it's very conveniently located. The staff were always friendly and helpful. There was a computer with a printer available in the lobby, which was very helpful for me, and free internet in the hotel rooms. There was also an exercise room. The breakfast was great, lots of food and a good variety. I had no problems during my stay and would certainly stay here again next time I'm in Thunder Bay, I felt very comfortable here!

Good value for the price. Convenient with highway close, but quiet and peaceful with a northern feel.
