We arrived in town without a reservation, had just driven 10 hours and needed to stop for the night, and checked at another hotel first - they were booked full and recommended we check this hotel because "they had 40 open rooms last we checked".
Well, I know why they still had 40 open rooms and everything else was full for the night after we stayed here for a single night.
The hotel is incredibly poorly marked at the entrance (its a small 2 foot square sign that says 'Quality Inn' that you can't see until you get to the door. The parking lot is very dark - a trend that also continues throughout the hotel in the halls, lobby and (scary small and smelly) elevator.
We had a single queen room on the 4th floor. The elevator was incredibly dirty and dark, the disgusting vent fan in the ceiling should have been replaced about 10 years ago.
The bathroom was very small and had absolutely no counter space. All of our bathroom items ended up on the floor in front of the bathroom door as it was the only spot left. The toilet has to be the smallest toilet we've ever seen. As a bonus, the switches for the lights and fan in the bathroom are in the wall outside the bathroom.
The AC unit had a musty smell and didn't work very well.
The free wi-fi was horrid, the connection was very flaky and unreliable. In an effort to actually get something done I tried to use the hotel computer in the 'business center' room in the lobby, While this PC had a great connection the browser kept crashing out and stopped working entirely.
For the price we paid (~$150USD) I expected *a lot* better. Virtually any other hotel in the area costs less and I'm sure would have been preferable. Too bad everybody else beat us to the better spots.
