We initially were put off by the strong smell of curry that permeated the entire home. The room was adequate. The seat on the commode was the wrong size and the bathroom was in need of a thorough cleaning. The food was good and generous. It was only at breakfast on the second morning that we met the hostess, Maria. She was kind, but frankly, with the home for sale and the two innkeepers looking toward retirement, I think things are beginning to show they are ready to pack it in. Sorry to be so critical, but as an experienced guest at B & B's this one fell short of expectations.

We stayed in this wonderful B&B on our road trip to Ontario in September, 2011. It is a wonderfully restored home with all the amenities. Breakfast in the dining room with classical music playing and the opportunity for private conversation was exceptional for bed and breakfast accommodations. Thank you so much, Maria. We hope your successor will do as well by her guests as you have.

We had a wonderful stay at the Brockwell Chambers. The room was spacious, comfortable, tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The breakfast was beautifully presented -- white table cloths, attractive plating -- and beautifully prepared 100 percent in their own kitchen. The location is perfect -- within a few blocks of downtown Sault Ste. Marie. We walked everywhere. Sadly for B&B lovers, this B&B is for sale; Maria is retiring. I advise booking a night there soon!

This was mine and my husbands first stay at a B&B and it changed our traveling experience for ever! For the price we paid we never would have gotten a comparable hotel in the area! The couple running it was so kind and very accommodating and the food was exceptional! I had a fantastic sleep and felt great getting in the car the next day for the 9 hour drive ahead of us!
Cash only payment, but there are 2 banks within a 3 minute walk down the street!
I would definitely recommend staying here rather than a hotel!
